Long term CS admirer, and so rapt for him today as well.
Relief, vindication, reward, all of this, but again, we have THE BEST COACH in the comp. and he should have his job as long as HE feels fit to do it.

Do we have a legend Chris Scott thread coming up??

He is a beauty.

From day one he embraced Geelong.

From day one his gifts were obvious.

Since day one he has never stopped growing personally .

May the last day be many years away.
That's it, he is completely Geelong.

Couldn't be happier for Scott. No 70% winning coach has copped as much s**t as he has

This season was a masterclass. Perfection.

It reminded me of 2007 in so many ways. Slow start, but once going just beat anyone who stood in their way, finished on top easy.. And weirdly enough, only Collingwood gave them a fright in Finals.

I say lock it for a few days, then reopen. I'm interested in the discussion on what changes led to the premiership. More went on in the background than many think
Exactly. There will be less blatant trolling. More of the deep, nuanced discussion of how the team has progressed and how Scott and co have made it happen.

I changed my opinion in Scotty a few years ago. For a long time I felt he was a great people manager, but didn't rate him at all as a match day coach. For a few years there you could tell whether we'd win or not in the first 5 minutes. Plan B was stick to Plan A for three quarters, then Plan C was send Harry Taylor forward.

I feel like that all changed about 4-5 years ago, and Scotty's gradually become a master coach, able to make whatever slight tweak was needed when a game wasn't on our terms

Sign him up for as long as he wants, and keep giving him whatever support staff he neds

Apart from a couple of tantrums I've been a supporter of Chris Scott. When he chose to forgo his income for a year, for the good of the club during Covid...well that just says so much about the man.
Thanks Chris.

I hung around for the Team Presentation last night, and what made it worth the wait was hearing Chris Scott like we’d never heard him before. He focused on the unsung heroes of the team and even admitted to having ‘favourites’ like Rhys Stanley.

As blessed as we are having one of the greatest captains ever, I also reckon Scott is a masterful coach and a great. And the affinity between Scott and the players was clear; they love him

The weird thing is even though I ragged on Scotty for years I still thought he was a better coach than Hardwick.

If Bomber Thompson won Chris Scott’s first premiership (something I never believed anyway) then Dusty won 2 of Hardwick’s

Have loved him from his first press conference and only grown to admire him more since. Love the way the club goes about it and part of that is driven by Scott. Such sustained success for so long, bringing fans like me joy for such a long period of time. Have always said to those giving me shit for my team failing in finals that i'm just thankful and privileged to watch such a competitive team every weekend, and that finals are a bonus. But boy its good to win one again 11 years after the last . Looking forward to all my Geelong bumper stickers around my desk at work being relevant again, and adding a 2022 premiers one to the collection haha
