Is Leon a chance for AA this Year?

I will give you a lapse in form prior to the St. Kilda game but it can be argued his last 3 weeks have been as good as any player in the AFL. He's had a better year than AA Contender Ryan O'Keefe.

322 disposals, 57 tackles and kicked 30.18, missed two games this season. He has had a good year, only 2 games where he didn't score a goal, been pretty consistent.

He just hasn't spent enough time forward or in the middle so I think he is stuck in limbo in AA terms.

I think if we did the smart thing and gave him three weeks off straight after he hurt his ankle he might have been a good chance. Because of that whole play two weeks, have one off bullshit it meant it took way longer for the ankle to heal than it should have.

Great to see him back fully fit now.

Seriously, he's well behind players like Daniel Motlop, Stokes, Akermanis and Steve Johnson. Even Nathan G. Brown is ahead of Davis.

Injury has cost Davis AA selection. He won't make it but only because he was restricted by his ankle for about a month and wasnt physically able to produce the same quality of football we saw at the start and now at the end of the year. Pity.

Dont think Collingwood should look to get any AA players this year. You know we are workmanlike only.

The remarkable thing is that Malthouse has been able to take this group of no talents to the finals again in exactly the same fashion he did last year. Remember that was a group that didnt even have 1 player rated in the top 40 in the comp and they went within 1 kick of the GF.

It wouuld be an extraordinay coaching feat if they were able to fluke another couple of finals wins again this year

That Malthouse guy is a cracker. All this with no good players.

There is no doubt plenty will now be willing to concede this is one of the great coaching feats ever witnessed

Must be a shoe in for Coach of the year

Could not be further from the truth. Unlike a vast majority of stat gatherers Leon gets the majority of his forward of center.
