It would definitely be a real tough one have to put some thought into it...a few mentions to throw in...Fowler would be a shoe in for the ruck from Greensborough along with his brother matt aka chops in the onball division and a position could be found for travis miller on the halfbackline and also a guy by the name of Kirk Rodgers who gets beaten on the rare occasion down at full back, o'donnel (Liam) from bundoora along with nick johnston and sam patrick along with mitch buckley....from heidelberg, william drapac, jamie church, hamish paynter and lucas hobbs would be considered...from eltham obviously nic milne being the leading goalkicker would be considered along with jake johnston...any other names you feel worthy of mention
 
D1 Finals 2009

With now only 5 sides able top make the finals, three for sure and Mont and West fighting out for 4th spot.
Here are my thoughts on all the sides:
West :if they make it and have their best side in will scare a few of the sides.
Mont: not enough talent all round to go a long way.
Eltham: have some very good players, but if they have a quiet day they are in real trouble,will be lucky to get past the 1st Semi.
Greensborough: Good on ball and ruck division, but do not like it very physical,also have a few front runners which in finals is a no-no.Unfortunately for them finals are not played at their ground where they virtually unbeatable.
Bundoora: An all round complete side,they have strong, tough, intimidating players, the coaching staff are easing back a few via their 19's 2nds, and also resting a few others to keep them fresh for the finals, should and will win the GF in a canter.

agree with your statments about bundoora except for the intimaditing players, but ill tell you know being a senior player down at the boro you will have to think twice about the young boys and saying they dont like it very physical and have a few front runners cause i can't see many when i watch the games every saturday, if you can tell me some let me know

If anything thomastown are favourites to make the top 4 being only half a game out, they have a bye then north heidelberg who have apparently folded so theres a walkover and 4 points, west and mont play 2 of the top 3 sides and will really need to step up if they have any chance of beating both sides.
Greensborough- Team to beat, good list right through, should have no dramas making it to the grand final.
Bundoora- big, fast and strong side with alot of top age players, this is there last chance to win the flag as they have alot of players going up
Eltham- also have a good young list and will be getting some really good players who have had the fair share playing up in the 1s and will be a tough team
Mont- If they make it, good effort but dont see them getting far, dont have the run and gun like boro n bundy have.
West- A little to late to start shifting a majority of 19s playing up in the 1s, 3 or 4 might come back but in saying that they will be in sorta the same situation as last year and they brought home the goods.
Thomo- have the good run home and if eltham and bundy continue their winning ways they should sneak in only to be bottled out first round of the finals againts eltham.

This is probly the worst team possible to choose..
Jamie doukas cant be forward pocket.. Redmond from bundoora is in the top 5 for goalkicking and shood be ther insted of doukas. Also Trent Mcallister is a joke.. only good at eltham but over all ther is way better players than him that could fill that role!! Ur only good picks were milne and matt fowler. GEE!

In consideration players like Jake Johnston (Elth), the younger O'Donnell (Bund) and Tom Snell (Elth) just a few to name. Agree with Doukas and Redmond swap, 29 goals to 9 goals is a huge difference, even more so with Redmond being a forward and Doukas being a midfeilder, but in saying that deserves a spot if not in the starting 18 but certainly on the interchange. Trent McAllister probably doesn't fit in the role but is a consideration, quick and hard at it.

come on blokes, hardly anyone has nick johnston in their team, you would take him at full forward over nick milne regardless if he is winning the goal kicking or not, nick milne is a cat and can't get a kick against sides like greensborough and eltham, after watching the young blokes battle it out saturday 2 of nick milnes goals were from cheap free kicks. this year redmond has done nothing..yeah he may have kicked a few goals but he hasnt really turned it on..jamie has played senior games as a bottom age 19's and thats a good effort and what got him the spot..Mcallister also played 4 senior games and is a very good player...and the only reason why snell is not in it is becuase he has played only 5 19's games

still dreaming? over what? so what your saying he is the best centre half forward in the under 19s competition, he would start on the bench, is a good player but alot of other players in the comp would take his position of the top of my head ill have a crack at a team.

The last 5 games are going to be very interesting
If Monty win either game they finish 4th
If Monty loss and West beat Bundoora they will finish 4th

If Monty and West both loss then it gets quite interesting
Heidelberg is ahead of Thomastown on percentage.
Heidelberg play Northcote
Thomastown play North which I am expecting them to forfeit.
If Eltham beat Monty and Bundoora beat West by more than Heidelberg beat Northcote, Thomastown will finish 4th
If Heidelberg beat Northcote by more than Eltham beat Monty and Bundoora beat West by more than, Heidelberg will finish 4th
 
Does anyone think the tiges can pinch an upset victory if they manage to sneak into the four? They have a few handy players ie Hobbs, Brunelli, Melton, Paynter, Drapac, Pierce and a couple more but then it begins to drop away.

Its a problem u will find amongts 3rd and 4th...they have their 6 good players then got nothing to back them up. Where the bulls and slime have good lists right through, they are capable of making it into the grand final put it that way, wether they can go the full journey is another story.

Spot on, Eltham will choke like last season, Bundoora are like Heidelberg in the ones,unbeatable, the are so arrogant they are putting back up to six players to their 2nd side, WPL have a great opportunity to beat them now and take 4th spot
