That hole is just too big to fill. I think they drop to mid table in 2024.
EDFL forum suggesting McKernan back to Tulla for 2024 too.
Can you please post the article here if possible? I can't bring myself to put my $$ towards Murdoch rags hahaArticle in HS about player movements in NFNL, wow, Banyule going great guns and Macleod doing better than some thought.
With what seems like many clubs seeming losing players this year, yeah its early and time will tell, but I agree with a recent post Banyule have to be considered early strong finals contenders. Their depth is there after their magoos made finals in 23.

Told his team mate’s going TullaI think he is staying at Bundoora
No current season stats available
Good get from warrandyte?Kieran Malone signed to Turtles.
The Mailman goes wellKieran Malone signed to Turtles.
I see Macleod every week and imo they haven't lost much.Macleod have lost far more than they have recruited to date
I agree, but unfortunately leagues want to attract these players hence having a low level of qualifications. If 6 was required how many would align?Mont with another VFL player, Harvey Hooper from Pt Melbourne. Post says he is committed to Port and will play when he can. As Captain of Port and back-to-back B&F player there is no doubt, he will only be available a few times.
Thats another VFL fully committed player, the fringe guys at Mont must love that the club is planning finals teams that could see them bumped for the 3 game players.
I think this whole VFL thing needs a review and should be six games to qualify (probably unless a junior or previously signed player that got picked up to VFL from Club). Aren't we just local football clubs not locations for players VFL aligned to have a chance at glory of finals once their VFL season is over.....These recruits are clearly finals selections and has to affect the culture of, as I said the fringe or young players knowing these blokes are coming back to take spots you have trained and played for all season.

Maybe it works for Mont but from where I sit it’s an odd tactic. Surely they’d be better off throwing money at guys who play every week. Mont have quite a few Port Melbourne blokes so at least they would be “mates”
Someone told me Spencer was planning on playing post ACL recovery. Not sure as heard another said he retired. anyone know for sure?I'd prefer to see the league with better players in it, makes for exciting games throughout the year. This is where the points system plays its part.
With Buxton, Collins and McMahon out, and early posts said Honeychurch gone (?), and now Holmes full time, Brown & Hooper the VFL part timers.
Replaces those lost from a list size perspective?
Keen to see if Mont & Heidelberg 2s keep their depth, if players are legit dissapointed in lack of senior opportunities, not just a couple that naturally seem to move each year.
No idea, I thought he'd retired last year after the ACL from what mates said.Someone told me Spencer was planning on playing post ACL recovery. Not sure as heard another said he retired. anyone know for sure?
That’s what I’m thinking, all I can imagine is it is a plan for upcoming years. If brown isn’t drafted this year he is probably done.Harvey and Brown will likely not play a game, let alone 3. If there teams are in the finals contention in the VFL, they won't be letting there best players go back and play local footy.
