is deledio worth of his price of 433k odd or is it worth a downgrade to a chapman to gain another 20k odd to then upgrade my 6th back of rivers to a dempsey/petterd?

currently

backs are hodge cornes drummond malceski houlihan rivers raines

forwards are pavlich deledio n.brown d.thomas higginskrakouer hentschel

Hard to say, I have both deledio and chapman. i think deledio is worth that price but i think chapman is the better value if you think his hamstrings will hold up this season. Personally i would trade Dids for chapman and upgrade rivers to geary.

Why aren't people considering geary as a cheap backman ($192,100)? :confused:Ignoring the game that he only played a quarter his average was 88 in the preseason.
With Maguire and Hudghton out and gram with a limited preseason he could get more TOG than last season?

What do people think of Sam Lonergan from Essendon.
He is now in his third season, coming off an average of 61 last year, what do people think his output will be like?

And also Ben Johnson from Collingwood?
He was a premium back three seasons back with an average of 93. The last two seasons he has averaged in the 70's.
Could the rolling zones help him at all, to help him get back to the scores that we were used to seeing? or is he done and done?

i doubt his game time would change that much. Its not like west played much last year

Yes i know that but over the years west has been there start inside midfielder! Both cooney griffin higgins gia all like to run with the ball what bulldogs player will go in for the hard ball as much as boyd? And he gets alot of cheap marks in the middle as well! Has anybody considered him?

Because Goose, Hudghton and Gram will all be back very soon. Will Geary be in the 22 after that?

There are 4 options you can choose at that price if it fits your structure, Geary being one of them. You just have to weigh up the options.

Averaged 99 for the first 15 rounds when the Bulldogs played great footy and was ultimately locked into the top 4.

Averaged 78 for the final 7 games when the Dogs seemingly pulled their foot off the peddle and lost 5 of those 7 games because their finals birth was already secure.

Averaged 104 in the 3 finals games when the Dogs had something to play for again.

He also averaged 96 in 07 and is priced at 90-91 this year (406k). There hasn't been much change in the Dogs midfield over the pre-season other than Higgins getting more of a run in there. At least 5 points underpriced for me and considering he hasn't missed a game in 3 years he is a pretty good option to start with. Could be one of the top 6 scoring players points wise by the end of the year which is something you should be looking for in starting players.

I agree that his spot will be in danger when these players return. However, what he has going for him as that although he is classified as a defender, he has been playing across the half forward line and occasionally on the ball this pre-season, so the danger of being replaced with those three players is decreased somewhat. He is one that i strongly considered but have decided against. That price bracket has a lot of potential however.

a lot of the coaches dont give much away but theres a few interesting things said

found this part about chad just a little bit worrying
" He’s shoulder’s no problem at all and the only thing with his knee is whether it can handle playing week-in, week-out but we think he’ll be right. "

on the other hand nathan krakouer sounds very good

I didn't think Krakouer's run down was partiularly good - the last sentence to be specific:

It’s a big year for Krak and hopefully he can string a few games together.

Plus according to the assessment Salopek is to be moving to the back line too.

How does everyone think big Joshy Fraser is going to go this year?
I think hes pretty cheap due to his ability, but McIntosh is 30k cheaper and may even score the same.

I know I should be answering this question, but what does everyone think of Nathan Bock this year?

Also what are peoples thoughts on McMahon?

can someone plz convince me that adcock will improve this year....im not sold yet but having him in my team will solve a lot of problems

Can Doggies fans give me the expectations of Gia ?
Will he imrpove/decline/ or remain constant

I'd expect improvement as last year was IMO the first year he looked truly comfortable in the role he was given.

The half forward flank/utility role suits him perfectly. He's had a better pre season than last year so his time on ground should increase.

I'd say worst case would be to remain at last year's average.
