Let's keep it all together this year with information relating to injuries and suspension (either club or AFL imposed).

A big 1 reported at the moment for DT & SC teams is

Jack Grimes- HS reporting back problems again and is likely to miss the start of the season. (See Melbourne Board)

Will Raines now be the most popular DT player this year?

Post other as you know:thumbsu:

Sounds like Gumbleton might very well miss at least round 1 after ongoing back trouble. Any further word on this from anyone?

Aaron Edwards will miss the first four rounds through an in house suspension.

Kane Johnson and Trent Cotchin are both injured for Richmond, and are both expected to return via the VFL no earlier than round 3.

Nick Stevens is suspended for the first two rounds.

Isnt Solly from freo suspended from the ling hit still.

Heath Shaw in doubt round 1 with a Corkie.

Porps is still out til round 3-4, Burton a little bit longer.

Whats happening with Birchall i heard he had a niggling injury and was in doubt for rd 1?

Porps was doing light tackling yesterday and is easing into competitive work, small chance for rd 1 but most likely 2 or 3

Burton is out until round 15. Porplyzia competed in full training yesterday and looked a million bucks. Remember while he wasn't doing contact work it never stopped him doing all the fitness work. He is most likely playing for West in the SANFL this week and I imagine will play round 1 if he gets through unscathed.

I read somewhere he has done his hamstring, so he should be out for a few weeks

Hodge played this week he is good to go.

Just make sure you have bench coverage for Skippy, they are playing on Sunday so plenty of time to get over a rolled ankle.

Posted this in another thread but again ... I followed that match on radio and heard him mentioned regularly in the second half and late in the game. No mention of his injury. Unless, he got injured in the last second ... but there were still no reports of it.

Myers and Slattery both suffered ankle injuries, a mix-up there maybe.

Or maybe he's just trying to throw everyone off him like a good DTer should. ;)

Think Skippy will be right for round 1. A rolled ankle shouldnt stop him. Also remember they get 2 weeks off since their last game to opening round which for a rolled ankle is plenty of time.

Even if he does miss i would bank on one of my 8th or 9th forwards to play.

I agree! Is there any source about him being injured at all?

Jesse smith is out for the first 2.
Jordan lewis and nathan van berlo will miss rd 1.
The last 2 may be longer i'm not certain how bad they are.

Remember this? 4 hours before rd 1 last year.

SEN: Nick Stevens in serious doubt!!!

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=423614

I have just heard on SEN in the last 10 minutes that Nick Stevens is in serious doubt for tonight's game!

It say's odds have changed based on this info. Richmond $2.15-->$2.05
Apparently a very strong close source saying he definately will NOT play...

I don't know how much can be read into this thought, and I don't want to jump the gun!
but, will most people leave stevens in or not?

Don't fall for this stuff, confirm for yourself any injury reports. There's been nothing about Skippy anywhere thus far. Assume that its BS and freako got it wrong.

I would love to know Adelaides best 22 for round 1. Porplyzia, Van Berlo and Symes look certainites to miss. Havnt really heard alot about VB but they said 4 weeks for the injury and it hasnt been that yet. Symes was out for 8 weeks when he got the injury and i think that would mean he will miss round 1. Porplyzia im positive wont play round 1. Rutten is also in doubt but i think he will get up for round 1.

with 3 of their best 22 missing and also Basset through retirment it has opened up 4 spots in the crows side. However Knights and Reilly will take 2 of them the other 2 are up for grabs.

Players like Hentschel, Walker, Otten, Mackay, Petrenko, Dangerfield are all sitting on the border line. I would just love to know their best 22. Something im looking at closely on their board.

Porplyzia competed in full training on Tuesday. He is playing for West this week and I'd be majorly surprised if he didn't line up in round 1 if he gets through that OK. Surely if you are keeping such a close eye on the Crows board, you would have read that?

I won't be a complete ass, so I would think that Hentschel, Walker and Mackay are heavily entrenched in the starting 18. Otten should be in the 22 and I'd rate Petrenko is ahead of Dangerfield in the race for the next spot. Petrenko may well figure in the mix to start with a few out..
