2010 Tour de France

The Maaskant bet saved me tonight, Robbie seemed to struggle around the last few turns, which was disapointing.

EBH was terrible.

Good tour though, both for profit and for enjoyment.

And I agree with Sas in regards to SportingBet, although Centrebet seemed to improve their H2H's this year.

Now to catch up on some sleep.

Yeah - the Maaskant bet didn't go the way I expected it would, but a win is a win. :D

Good work to everyone who made $$$$ this Tour. Cycling is a great sport to bet on if you know your sh!t

Yeah, I'll be all over the Vuelta. Lots will be up in the air before the race as the GC has no real contenders confirming their presence.

Hardly any Top 10 guys from last year will be there, if any.

Yeah - the Vuelta is good to bet on because it's redemption for guys who didn't do well in the Tour.

Moncoutie was annoyed he didn't get the KOM jersey or get a stage win last year, so he was out to get the Vuelta KOM and stage win - he got it.

Moncoutie for the KOM in the Vuelta is a decent bet - he will be 3-4 bucks at the start. The guy has won it the last two years and skipped the Tour to be in form to defend it and it's probably his last year in the sport. Hell, him to ride top ten wouldn't surprise me.

Someone like Luis Leon Sanchez who wanted to win a stage here, will look to win a stage on home soil. He's probably my bet for the Classica San Sebastien next Sunday.

A lot of riders also do the Vuelta to prepare for the World's so if you are in the know, you know of all these little bits of important information.

Nibali top ten would be a decent bet too if he's riding it.

Yeah, see my edit. Put in Nibali.

Will be good to see Soler go for a GC win. Still remember when he popped up in the Tour, taunting guys going up the mountains.

Moncoutie defending his KoM will be a good bet.

I love the profile of this stage. Finishes just outside of Madrid, so will be huge

If Frank is healthy, he'll be Saxo's leader. Fresh rider.

There's also Pinotti for Columbia who did a top 10 in the Giro. Won't win the Vuelta, but will put in a good show.

Agree with Soler.

If the rumours are true that Ricco is going to sign for quick-step in the hope of riding the Vuelta, he will be a good choice for a high up result too. Though, haven't looked at time trialing in the Vuelta yet.

That stage looks brutal.

Good news that SBS will be showing four stages live. Hopefully that will be one of them.

Sportingbet will have good markets for the Vuelta and I'll make sure I post them. I'll be starting a cycling thread over the next week.

Look forward to it - been good following your insights over the Tour and helped me end up more in front than I otherwise would have. Cheers!

OK so Centrebet had an offer a little while back where if you placed a bet on the British open you got a free bet of equivalent value to use on the tour, well i decided i would just put 5 on tiger then 5 on contador for overall win so i would get my money back if he lost which he did, looked in account today and it only payed 2.40 from a five dollar free bet stake. Am i getting ripped off or do you only get profit from free bets not profit plus the original free bet?

Not getting ripped off - they'll only pay you your profit and not the original stake
