Re: Round 22 Captain

Swan.

Believe it or not, I'm thinking Sylvia. If he's staying at Melbourne, he will pull his finger out and perform, get some contested ball! If he's leaving, I think he could pull out something like Ablett did as a farewell game.
Had some decent games early, fallen away. Late season spark? I'm not confident, but if you feel like it..

Let me guess, your opponent has Sylvia and you are hoping he reads this post and picks him? clever, sly, highly ambitious:p

Re: Round 22 Captain

The two obvious choices are Swan and Ablett (I won't pick Pendlebury again after the disaster of last week, you cost me 100 points and x2 wins !!!!!!!). Ablett v the Crows could be a winner, he would have to be up for his first game with his brother in 4 years, but Swan v the Lions could turn into a blood bath !!!!! My only problem with Swan is is he due for a rest leading into finals ???

I am going with Ablett.

So you were going to pick a captain that scored 202? Pretty sure nobody scored that high last round! :p

Re: Round 22 Captain

Swan for mine, I lost a game last week thanks to Pendlebury (102/204) as captain whilst my opponent had Mitchell (155/310).

Wouldn't be surprised if Judd posts a big score. In past meetings the Hawks have kept check of him forward of centre but allow in more room for cheap ball down back

He still couldn't have cost you 100 points. Who would have you had as captain instead?

Do the maths and work it out, the most it could have cost you is the difference between Pendles score and who you would have picked as captain.

Mitchell was my vice. 53 points difference x 2 for captain = 106 point differential.

This week I've got Swan capt with Mitchell vice.

Edit: just did the maths, LoL you're right! facepalm.

Sorry but that is incorrect.

Pendles as captain netted you 2 x 102 + Mitchell's 155 = 359. If you had Mitchell as captain that would have netted you 2 x 155 + Pendles' 102 = 412, a difference of 53 points.

There lies the truth.
