2011 crowds

Great week 1 crowds, but looks like the coming weekend will be much quieter. Hard to see Hawks/Swans getting more than 50k, and Subiaco will be full, but can only fit 43k. I'd be surprised if we pass 100k.

Total all up was 98,001. Not bad considering Subiaco's limited capacity, but you've gotta wonder where all the Hawks fans were on Friday night.

So in other words, the game drew 5,000 more than you expected and you still use the numbers to pot shot fans? Go figure

The MCC are Nazis

Only idiots believe their hype

^ fk them and everything they stand for

They were within 8% of the final attendance which is not bad all things considered?

What is it exactly that you resent about the MCC?

No particular reason why you should wonder where the Hawthorn fans were.

The vast majority of Hawthorn's "good times" matchgoing fanbase were at the game as will be the case with any Victorian side playing an all or notheing final in melbourne.

Just 87,000 tonight was a bit disappointing, massive empty area right in the middle of Q1-Q3 which made little sense

About what you would expect with the game live on TV?.

The days of a sellout full house at the MCG apart from the GF are numbered.

Still more than double the 31,000 the thugby got in Sydney last night!

Maybe the AFL had too many prime category tickets and not enough standard tickets. That area is about where the category gets split

Considering the foul weather and some unsold tickets just on 100,000 is a great result.
