Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

Vettels tyres were toast. Last few laps was having to drive into the damp track to cool them down. We've known all along that RBR favours Golden Boy Krout features after the front wing episode of 2010.

Would love to see Webber punt Vettel of the course in the last race of the season.

Great race by Ferrari nd Alonso tonight, they're on a par with RB IMO. Vettel increases his lead in the Championship and Webber now second. McLaren off the pace and looking a bit amateur with Button's pit stop fiasco and no fuel at the end for Hamilton to go flat out.

and bizzarre orders from Horner to Webber.... hmmmm....

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

That made no sense, those few points Webber would of gained had he not been ordered to "maintain the gap" could be absolutly critical for mark at the end of the year against Alonso and buttun, but those points are not that critical for Vettel...

Only rational answer would be is the team orders and policy is for Vettel to finnish above mark whenever possible....
My guess is they didn't want to risk another Turkey, where Golden Boy's ego could have got the better of him if Mark tried to pass and he took them both out again.

More than likely, Webber wouldn't have gotten past but it would be nice to be at least given the opportunity. Especially as Vettel locked up his breaks a corner or two later..

Hopefully it makes him change teams.

Where will he go? Nowhere that will allow him to challenge for the championship.

I suspect you're right

Looks terrible though

Was it me or was he giving Vettel a nice death stare on the podium?

Some very cosy body language there at the end and on the podium between Webber and Domenicali.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

Yes, Christian Horner really should've let his two cars go side by side into the last couple of corners of the last lap. That worked so well last time they were side by side last year.

No but I'm sure if hes going to be a #2 driver he may as well do it to his mate Alonso.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

Horner made it clear it was not his orders...gotta feel for him.

"it wasn't what i expected, but what the team expected" when mark maintained the gap..

Replace Massa at Ferrari.
Or join Kubica at Renault.
He'd be clear #2 at Ferrari, or back in the middle pack at Renault

Not Webber's fault that Golden Boy can't keep his ego in check. Disgraceful that Webbers chance at maximising points be compromised because the child isn't good enough to hold him off.

What childish crap. If Webber really was better maybe he shouldn't have left it until the last lap.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

Webber trying to remain calm as Goldenboy bullshits........

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

That took every ounce of restraint that Mark posesses

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

Not a good look for Red Bull on there, copping it from everyone.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

See how calm and mature Mark was there?

Maybe 98% of Australian F1 fans could try acting the same. It's f-ing embarrassing the way you lot carry on.

Huh? He came across him on the last lap. Should Massa have not gome near Hamilton because it was the last lap?

Stupid comment

Yeah because team orders make f1 better :thumbsu:

You idiot.

So you're saying teams should take a chance of both cars taking each other out on the very last corner?

You idiot.

Re: 2011 Formula One World Championship - Round Nine - British Grand Prix Silverstone (8-10 July 201

If people really think it's a logical thing to risk having an accident on the last lap for the sake of a guy that's 77 points behind, and an irrelevance in the title fight, while Ferrari now look like the team to beat - that's just mind boggling. Both in drivers title and constructors title terms.
