I received my old man and my membership pack today but it said we have to wait for the MCG reserved seating to be finalised before receiving the actual membership card....

Ditto this.

Seems to be that regular services are resuming as per their statement (after Jan 10) since things seem to be stepping up nicely with the shift in location. Must say I'm both semi happy with and dispapointed with the key chain, since I remember getting the old 90's mascot which was awesome and now it's a shiny football.

I want my friggen mascot back! :p

Still nothing at all and still no communication from the club in regards to another delivery im expecting from them. Paid for express post before christmas and still hasnt arrived. Numerous emails have been sent and nothing in return. Starting to think the club is run by a bunch of monkeys or something.

People have apparently started to get them today so hopefully when i go to my post box tomorrow i will have my member pack and the AFL Prospectus sitting there waiting for me to collect... Will be like christmas all over again.

I got my copy of The Saint at the start of the week, but nothing else as of yet.

I am getting a reserved seat for the first time though, so that'll probably hold things up.

I'm really not that bothered though - happy to wait another month or so as long as it arrives before the start of the season.

In regards to reserved seats, apparently the club is not releasing details until mid jan as their has been a lot of movement in this area.

I asked for a new seat for the up coming season, i was then told I wouldn't know the outcome until late jan, so I'm not worried at this stage.

I will be relaxed about the whole situation until the night before round 1

All the above echo what I have been winging about about , the lack of communication and professionalism from the club. Now they will have a million excuses,ie move to Seaford. waiting on MCG, hold up in China. Point is don't promise what you can't deliver, and get professionals involved with us, the lifeblood of the club.

Well I don't have a reserved seat so I'm interested to see when I get my pack in relation to you guys. Then again, I only signed up 8 days ago so I've probably still got a while to wait.

As long as it comes in good time, I'll be content.

I ordered 3 memberships way back when, 1 Adult with SC and 2 kids, (not long after they were made available..can't remember specifics) A few weeks later, I rang the club and asked as to the whereabouts of the packs, I was particually interested in the kids ones as they were for xmas.

I was informed that they were on their way. (I think this was around the end of Nov.) I rang again in early December, and again in the lead up to Christmas. I specifically asked the chap on the phone to look up the membership numbers and track any progress re postage, he of course obliged, and informed me that they are on their way and will be delivered by xmas. The week of xmas, I again rang up and went through the process, to be informed they should be delivered by xmas.

Today is the 17th of January. Last week I recieved 2 copies of The Saint, with no letter of explanation in regards to the werabouts of the remaining items. My 14 y.o nephew is still waiting for his ****ing xmas present.

Every week we are told that the club is no longer a club, it is now a business. I can tell you that I also am a business man, however, my business would not be succesfull if employed the practices on display by the club. The idea in business is to under-promise and over-deliver, if there is a mistake or a problem, don't cover it up with bs stories, someone needs to take some ownership of the problems and ensure they are solved.

All of this bs about problems in China and moving to Seaford don't cut it with me, these are not my problems, and to be honest I could not give a flying f#ck. My problem is that I have ordered and paid for items that I have not yet received, nor have I recieved communication as the the whereabouts of my goods.

Memberships form an integral part of the business of running a club and inject huge sums of money into the club to ensure its continuing viability going forward. The way we have been treated is a downright disgrace, the fact that it happens every year is worse. The fact that no one at the club seems to give a rats........is not good for business.

In previous years, I'd definitely found the Saints membership area as a key area where the club can make massive improvements ongoing.

Something in the process needs to change. Whether the issue is club staff (although I've always found them as helpful as possible), or an archiac system, or a budget priced mailout company, or waiting on delayed seating agreements, or a bull nosed approach by the club to provide minimal transparency for updates - it needs investment, probably both time & money to get things working smoothly.

In saying this though, the last couple of years we've been doing the monthly deductions, which touch wood has been working ok.

i renewed over the phone and physically spoke to someone
i rolled my SC membership over and got it so it does the direct from the credit card thing, canceled my extra interstate membership and added my partner on as another 11 gamer and put her on the waiting list for SC for the $20 fee.

got my pack in the mail last week
girl has got nothing
same p.o.box address.

unreal
and the pack is actually not that flash either to be honest
the stickers are all over the place and dented, the keyring is the worst one ive seen for years as a SC member and apparently you have to pick your scarf up from over there

if her pack isnt here next week ill be ringing
ohh, and she also didnt get her copy of the saints mag

strange as myself and the guy on the end of the phone went thru her details and address twice just to make sure it was all correct

Scarf isn't a drama, you get them from the booth on gameday ( inc NAB cup).

i'll be ticked if we have to pick up the scarves from a booth on a gameday..... i mean i'll be there for games bu that seems a bit as we have always received them in the mail...........

I take it these booths would be those pissy tents they put up outside the grounds?

Just rang the club, interstate members scarves will be posted out and should arrive by the end of Feb.

I am hoping to have mine in time for the finals......:p

2015 Final Series??? or 2020?? :p

Update*****

On Tuesday I emailed the club to vent my frustration at the lack of communication and promptness surrounding this years membership offer. To my surprise I recieved an email back explaining the delays etc.

One 2 Roo, (name supressed)

Thank you for taking your time to send through this email regarding your 2011 Membership fulfillment packs.

As I can understand your frustration, I would like to take the time to run you through the fulfillment process in the hope that it will help you to understand the challenges that we face.

In August 2010, our membership fulfillment items were ordered in China in the hope that they would arrive by the beginning of November. Due to the political decision made to turn off China’s power for 2 days a week, our arrival date was pushed back to early December. As soon as stock arrived in Australia, our mail house started working on the programming of their system to ensure that packs would be sent prior to Christmas but unfortunately with this also being their busiest time of year it just did not prove to be possible in the period of time that we had left.

We can assure that you we have done our best to rectify the issue and by the end of this week the club will have fulfilled all membership packs (approximately 27,000 packs). We apologies about the lack of communication made, until the week of Christmas we were still trying frantically to have them out in the mail, once we realized that this was not going to be possible we then sent out an email advising members of the delay.

To compensate, and to try and rectify our mistakes I would like to offer both your Children Rooey Recruit upgrades to their membership. With this they will receive extra merchandise, an exclusive invite to the Rooey’s Recruit clinic where they have the opportunity to participate in a clinic with players and they will also have the opportunity to enter into a competition to present the players with a jumper at our Family Day in March.

If you could please reply to this email with your Children’s Names and Address and Date of Birth then I will organize this for you."

I knew it was China, even when it was the Club I knew it was China

:D

The problem with the shit being made in China is ... it's shit!

We got our huge membership package yesterday. Underwhelmed, but the kids packs should make a good mess. Those keyrings are a bit puzzling, I guess they can be used against the temples of F*wood supporters when they get a bit lippy.
