IMHO this will be the year wells becomes elite. At training he makes everyone look at least 1 class below him including boomer and swallow. He is as fit as he has ever been and you will get first look at him in round 1 when he glides up and down the right wing.

It will be interesting to see if you tag him, swallow,boomer or anthony

anthony needs a tag because he averaged 25 touches in his first year of afl football so if you don't tag him he will get 30+possesions with ease

Anthony is much like Rosa, in that they get heaps of possessions but don't hurt the opposition with them.

how many touches does rosa average? i haven't seen or heard much of rosa but anthony is pretty highly rated by victorians. Anthony has a very penetrating kick and on a side note many people are getting him in dreamteam.

Out of curiosity who will the eagles tag:

will it be 1.Wells-the most skilled and exciting player on our list and peak condition.

2. Liam Anthony-Ball magnet, great link player who never stops running

3. Andrew Swallow- BnF winner in 09 and runner up in 10, tackling machine, gets majority of the clearences and kicks goals

4.Boomer harvey- The captain and best player on our list. 300+ games experience and still hungry for success

5. Jack Ziebell- The young gun, slashed 30secs off his 3km time trial and is a very complete package at only 19 years of age

i assume the eagles only have one tagger and will tag one of the above so who will it be?

If Wells plays wing > Sheppard - semi tag / run off

Anthony > Rosa no tag

Boomer is the only one we will heavily tag > A Selwood / S Selwood or McGinnity

Swallow > Priddis - no tag

Ziebell > Shuey - no tag (would be a very good contest)

You can't tag everyone or worry about every oppositions midfielder and from your attitude Norths aren't too concerned about ours. Which is fine with us, on the trip back you can look at each other with stunned mullet looks and ask 'what the hell just happened?'

these are the 6 forwards we will kick to. Hansen and petrie are the main targets then we have a lead up forward plus 2 crumbers in thomas and adams and finally Wright who kicked 4 against you in round 21. Plenty of firepower.

there are no holes in our team hence why north supporters are so excited.
even without grima,cunnington and bastinac our team covers them well because of our even depth.

Almost every major stat between Goldstein and NicNat were identical last year - same possessions, hit outs, tackles and goals created. About the only major difference is clearances (NN) and marks (TG).

This from a bloke 2 years younger and carrying a shoulder injury from very early on in the season.

On form only I wouldn't say either are superior.

Anthony was 21/22 in his first year, Sheppard was 18/19. Hardly a fair comparison.
