Certainly not a high quality match this one, but a match that has had so many twist and turns. I'm getting nervous just watching them, Rafa was so tight at 6-1 in the tie break- I meen he had 5 set point and he was still struggling to close it out. Fed was in a I don't give a shit mode, get's it back to 6-5 then gets tight again and hits a short return to give Rafa a big forehand cut at the ball, set over. Weird match this one, hard to see Fed getting up from here. It's like Fed is mentally killed when he plays Rafa, he makes some dumb dumb mistakes against him, his thought process is jammed or something.

Why the rolly eyes? It's true. He does some dumb things against Rafa he doesn't do against anyone else. All in his head. Rafa has a hold on him mentality and has for years. Now similar to Jokers hold on Nadal. Watch him go to water if they meet in the final.

Well really. The amount of plain crap errors that he makes against Nadal is ridiculous.

This matchup has been purely mental for years. It's nothing like the early years of the rivalry, where playing each other caused them both to elevate their games.

The only thing that's keeping Roger in this match is his serve, cause his groundies are absolutely useless at the moment. His forehand is back to being erratic, while his backhand is getting carved up by Rafa's forehand. I think it was you Caesar who said Hewitt had an underrated serve, if you want an underrated serve it's Federer's. Time and time again in tight situations he serve's his way out. It's been that way since he won his first slam, his serve never leaves him. It's certainly not the biggest in speed but IMO it's one of the best on tour, due to how many times he uses it to get out of trouble.

and that keeps happening for 8 years? its a matchup problem, he makes those errors cause its high topspin bounce which he doesnt like, specially on his backhand side. Also the pressure that rafa is gonna rundown everything. The ignorance here is amazing.

Shocking crowd. Won't shut up-especially on 2nd serves (more so that usual), one woman screaming "go roger" half way through a rally, and doing a Mexican wave in at such a thrilling time while the players are forced to wait for the clowns to finish their own entertainment! Disgrace.
