2012 Hidden gems

But I believe that from my club Jack Watts will improve yet again and finally live up to his 1st pick expectancy. And also Jack Grimes to finally have a good full season, and Mark Jamar to retrieve premium ruck status with the big boys Cox, Sandilands, Leuenberger.. Etc.

How are a #1 pick, a #16 and an All Australian ruckman hidden gems?

Luke Lowden will be given every opportunity to impress in pre-season and will start the season third in the ruckmen's pecking order at Hawthorn. Should crack it for a few games this season, at least.

If he makes it off the rookie list, then I expect Amos Frank to provide some highlight reel-worthy material in 2012.

Jordan Lisle should go alright in the Brisbane forward line as a foil for Jonathan Brown.

Will Sierakowski will do some good things for North Melbourne in 2012.

Jack Watts has never showed his potential or skill.. But i guess you're right about Jamar. So I'll have to say Dan Nicholson will rise up this year as a hidden gem.

Really rated Mitch Grigg, and was surprised when he slid past the first round.

More than happy we got him, won the SA best in the U18's I reckon, alos played footy with his Dad so I'll have more then a passing interest, but I reckon his year could be 2013.

Hidden Gems for Adelaide
Sam Kerridge
Aidan Riley
Tim McIntyre from R/L

Lance Franklin at Hawthorn. Watch out for this kid. I predict big things from him.

Have heard some whispers about him and a young lad up on the Gold Coast Ablett I think his name is apparently he goes alright

Id say.

Even if he is a really high draft pick and has gotten a lot of crap for not living up to his early recruitment. Andrew Moore looks like he is over his OP and has a bigger body then most of my teams midfielders should make some sit up and take notice.

The true hidden gem at Port is Jarrad Redden a monster of a ruckman with decent athleticism and over a 50 metre kick on him. Comparisons to the great Lade and there is plenty to like from witnessing an impressive SANFL finals series capped off in a win against Centrals.

Have seen a number of posters name koby Stevens. Can anyone provide more info on him??

Personally, he might not get too many games. Definately has the ability and right size though.

Big bodied inside midfielder. 2009 draft pick 23 from memory, was touted to be top10 but slid due to OP. Spent most of last year in WAFL apart from a game or two as sub. Came somewhere around 5th in WAFL best player this year.

According to a recent interview, he felt he had only recovered midway through last year fully from his OP and was looking forward to his first full preseason.

CHeers, Defimitely sounds as if he could be a hidden gem for the eagles. Another hard bodied midfielder could be exactly what you guys need to further harden your attack on a top-4 spot!

He's being compared to Luke Shuey everywhere, the same way he was talked up last pre season. He'll need to cement his spot, but it'll be his for the taking.
