Just a quick ? Would Buddy have been pinged if he ran as far as Jetta, with as few bounces. Having said that, it was a great run and goal, and good lock to Jetta.[/quote]

Have had a few looks at Jetta's run - with the speed he was travelling dont believe he could have bounced the ball any more frequently than what he did.

Believe it is time to stretch out the bouncing of the ball to every 20 metres. That will be good for Buddy :thumbsu:

Pretty sure he took 15 steps at one stage before bouncing. Glad the umpires let it go. They do tend to let a player running in towards goal take those few more meters. Was "electric" to watch it.

Would love to see Smithy do the same thing :)

Was a good win by the Swans and they will be a tough oponent should we get over Adelaide and play them in the Grand Final, BUT ! ....
as alway seems the case, my head tries to find reasons and beliefs about form and clouded results.
Here are mine from last night.
We all know Collingwood have beaten the Swans umpteen times in a row and the Pies had alot to be confident about having done this and also having done it multiple times at ANZ.... BUT ...

Pies were mentally fitigued - ( J.Mac situation )
Pies were physically tired - Tough games vs Hawks and Eagles.
Pies beat Eagles only through home crowd advantage, doin it for J.Mac emotion and just got over the line.
Pies were not in form for the last month leading into finals and really posed no massive threat.
Pies were soft last night and did not bring or no longer have the intensity they normally bring to big games.
Swans had home town advantage in a final which is different to home & away games.
Swans had incentive for Boltons 300 ( great player Jude Bolton ).
Swans were fresh from the weeks rest.
Swans first final was not a hard win in the fact i believe the Crows were soft in that game.

If / when we beat the Crows and play the Swans in the Granny, it should be a cracker of a game and one i really can't pick the winner because both teams will go into the game with false senses.
We disposed of the Pies easily, are fresh from a week off and should account for Adelaide comfortably who many believe, and rightly so, that they are in the position they are due to a soft draw.
I am more nervous playing the Swans in a granny than the Pies.
They are a very hard team, tackle well, and can lock down games well.
We will have to play some good football on the day to beat them given the results of our meetings this year.
One slight advantage is playing the game at the MCG which they are not overly impressive on.

I agree X. It's such an integral part of footy's fast running game now, that's why I and all fans - except pies - loved Jetta's goal. Would love Buddy7 to do the same.

Has to be one of the worst prelim finals ive seen...a real lack luster game and i was amazed by the lack of physicality. No suprise it was a sydney game, it was just as painful to watch as the last time we played them. No fluency or open play, just a bottled up tight rugby style kind of game. Hopefully whoever plays Sydney next can expose their bullshit strangling game style and open up the flood gates on them.
