Re: 2012 Supercoach/Dreamteam Questions & Answers

Not hearing anything spectacularly good or spectacularly bad. Would seem to indicate a good preseason that isn't setting the club on fire. He had a very injury interrupted year last season so I expect such a preseason to have him set for a strong 2012.

Have been hearing he's been running well and building his tank over the preseason. He's in my side.

Yeah pretty much

Another advantage of this for dt/sc purposes is that it means more midfield time for goodsey with stints up forward instead of spend half a quater in the forward line

Taking note.......will watch with interest how Tommy and Gary go during the pre-season stuff.

Cheers.

Re: 2012 Supercoach/Dreamteam Questions & Answers

I've got Walsh as a rookie simply because he's going to get games pumped into him. I was actually about to post that it's pretty much guaranteed that our trades will get games, but as you said, Armstrong sought the Swans out rather than the other way.
but you guys could have easily said we dont want/need you because you dont just give afl spots away like that

Re: 2012 Supercoach/Dreamteam Questions & Answers

Ok guys so im looking though my SC Gold player analyzer and a player keeps popping up as predicted to have a great SC year and i presume its to the fact that Kenelly has retired and that is Rhyce Shaw!

What are your guys thoughts on this?
How is his preseason going?
And finally i know he was a SC star 3 yrs ago but has fallen in a hole but can he get back to averaging around 90+?

Very cheap at $415k and with my current side puts around $130k in my bank for upgrades elsewhere!

Ps i only need him untill your rd 12 bye as a trade out/upgrade option!

Cheers guys!

Re: 2012 Supercoach/Dreamteam Questions & Answers

Is tom mitchell likely to get many games this year? How matured is he? Is he fit?

Thanks!

Probably Wont be playing in the intra club next week and has had knee problems and a little opo he's recovering from.

Expect him to be worked into senior football rather than blasting in so if your looking for a quick money raiser look elsewhere and come back to look at
Mitchell as a mid season trade in when you sell the first string of revenue raisers off.

I'm having the same thoughts (having alot of trouble picking defenders this year), for a guy who finished 2nd in the bnf and seemed to rack up a heap of possies near the end of the year (especially in the finals) his SC avg was very low (I assume because of disposal efficiency). No real news on his preseason so I assume he's fit, we play GWS and Port in the first 3 rounds so you should get a quick return, probably the best player at around that price (another 20k will get you Burgoyne and he's D/M) if you don't want to take the risk on Lake or Grimes.
He just turned 30 (I know alot of ppl stay away from players that age) so his form could fall quickly like Kennelly but I think he'll be around 80 to 90avg.

Re: 2012 Supercoach/Dreamteam Questions & Answers

would anyone be interested in a BF Swans DT league? i know there is a DT section but i was thinking a more swans specific league. i have already created a league but ill only post the league code if people are interested.

How's O'Keefe going. He doesn't seem to be in many sc teams this year and I don't know why.

We haven't heard anything about him. Pre-season doesn't seem to have been interrupted, so I'm not sure why people have dropped off him. I suspect he's upside days are on the decline, therefore not as attractive for SC or DT.

Having said that, I'm sure he'll be pretty solid again.

Guys im looking at abit of a unique pick here as a cash cow, What is everyones thoughts on Trent Dennis-Lane?

I like th boy as a player and he's coming into his 3rd season now and was a mature age recruit, can we see him getting alot more game time?
Only the 3 games last year, which if i remember right was due to injury yeah?

He has very low projected B/E's according to SC Gold and we know he can score pretty well with good game time!

Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers!

Injury in part but also not being versatile enough with the Sub rule coming in.

Would be wary of picking up TDL, struggling to crack into the best 22.

I heard around or juxt after Xmas that Rhyce was training the house down. He's on my radar, but a lot depends on how he's used. Looked lively in the intraclub.

he will start and finish the year at FF and kick several bags along the way. Think Pods 2 years ago. Leave him out at your peril.

Assuming Walsh plays at full forward all year and Reid at Centre Half-Forward, does this mean we will see Goodes in the middle a lot more than last year? Is this part of the reason Walsh was picked up?

I notice Campbell Heath has been named this weekend. I thought he had done a knee. Any chance of a rookie upgrade or wait and see?

Hey everyone,

Curious to know how Nick Smith will go this year. I know he's been pretty much a lock-down defender in the past, but he got a heap of the ball in the two NAB matches over the weekend.

Is he likely to be playing more of an attacking, running back style game this year now that Keneally has gone. Am considering him for Ultimate Footy.

Any info as soon as possible would be excellent. Appreciate the time.

Nick Smith's job this year will be the same as last year - stop the other team's most dangerous small forward. Dont get carried away with his stats on the weekend.
