Our club has the most brownlow winners because its often average clubs get them.

Selfish as a fan but prefer the spread we got tonight

Rather a flag

Heeney & Bont apparently aren’t in the same league as Daicos & Cripps.

Umps fawning over their favourites reached levels never seen before.

Weird to realise that Heeney woudln't have had a shot even if he missed no games and wasn't suspended. This is C. Judd 2010 on steroids. You were certainly penalised for having three dominant pollers, but Cripps got the biggest reacharound in Brownlow history. Best of luck on Saturday.

I thought Heeney was the best and most impactful player in 2024. Got a soft suspension so wouldn't of mattered.
End of the day he'd rather a flag something Carlton can't rig.

Unfortunately he had Warner start the year on fire probably number 1 in AFL for first 8 or so weeks.

Cripps voting was ridiculous by the umps many games he polled where he shouldn't or got the 3 in losses.
Nick also polled a few in games he shouldn't of, 1 notably he went off injured and Josh was BOG.

To be fair to the umps (hear me out!), if I was an ump and respected my actual role on game day, I would actively not think about where my Brownlow votes would go. Then after the game I would pick whoever I thought would be least likely to be challenged.

In this rare case, the solution isn’t to go after the umps, but just ditch the award for a better methodology.

The methodology I would most prefer is that each coach has to pick their AA team, and rank the players they select from first picked to last picked. You then assign points on that basis. The round by round methodology just makes it so that good players in middling teams are more likely to win.

Nick Daicos got a brownlow vote in round 13 against Melbourne in a game he was subbed out of after 15 disposals, and a goal.

Josh Daicos had 34 touches. No votes.

They called out the wrong Daicos😂

45 of 69, I don't know if that will ever be broken. 1 shy of 2 thirds of possible votes.

he averaged 2 votes a game. In a side that lost 10 of 23 games. That's just ridiculous.

2 votes vs Ess (20 dis) and Freo (19 disp).
Played a quarter vs pies late in season and got the 3.

Umps need assistance.

That's the one I was referring to. Lol. But Nick also misses votes in games he should get but didn't. So evens out I guess.
