2012 Tour de France Stage 11: Albertville - La Toussuire-Les Sybelles

Froome is a machine, forget Wiggins, he is the best rider in this tour.
You're right. Frome could have taken off and not only made up the time on Evans but on his team mate as well. Hell, he could be leader tonight if he wanted.

That was so funny when they all left Wiggo for dead.

Froome only tried to go because it was his only hope of winning the stage. Just sitting up at all cost him any chance he had.

Cadel was awful. Has had a year of partying I reckon and needs time to get over his big shot status.

Cadel is gone... might as well just go for a stage victory now. He just hasn't been in that great form. Froome could win if given the licence. He's a better climber than Wiggins.

Pierre Rolland, Thibaut Pinot and Tejay Vangarderen will be GT winners one day.

Will be an interesting write up for tomorrow's stage :p

Pinot especially looks very impressive, youngest rider in the race at 22, yet climbing with the best of them. He was right on Froome's wheel when he attacked and dropped Wiggins for a bit.

All props to Roland. Coming off that crash, bleeding arms and legs, and to win it like that. That's a true tour victory.

Minus a crash or food poisoning or a sudden case of avian pig flu or something, the tour belongs to wiggins. Froome deserved the Vuelta and wiggins is going to cost him the Tour as well. He's a machine, the whole team is.

Like the future of Teejay Vangarderan too.

At least with Cadel being over 3 minutes back, he can attack and they won't take him as seriously now. He will be allowed a bit of a leash.

Time to find a new rider to follow seeing as Cadel looks at this stage unlikely to win the tour this year or in the next couple of years. At this stage I'm leaning towards TJ.

Would love to see cadel try and help him win it next year. Also don't mind the schleck brothers.

The one factor Tejay has going for him ahead of the two French youngsters is his timetrialling ability, which is far superior to pretty much any rider his age that will be a GC contender. There are other good young timatriallers, but they just can't climb as well as Tejay.

Tejay probably would've been up there with Pinot in this stage if it wasn't for pacing Cadel back.

Would be interesting if this is the one year that Froome had to win the Tour and he misses out because he's helping out Wiggins. Contador back next year along with the other Schleck, not to mention another year into the young up and comers.

Froome's stage tonight was weird, you thought twice that he'd cracked when he dropped behind the group, he manages to pick himself back up to the front of the group, then launches an attack on Wiggins, not to mention putting in a decent sprint on the line.
