It means his own team's supporters are constantly rabbiting on about how he should be in the discussion for the award (AA for Morris, Rising Star for Mullett) despite this proposition getting absolutely no neutral support.

Stratton is the best of the dour defenders but they don't get recognised. The smaller backline players that are picked are ones that usually have a lot more flair to their games than these types of pure defensive players. The KPD's are usually picked on how good of a purely defensive player they are. It's a shame they don't usually pick 1 lockdown smaller defender and 1 or 2 creative half back flankers. Dale Morris is the last one I can think of in 2008 or it could be argued last year with dempster, but besides that there hasn't been many.

Tacking nothing away from Minson who has had a great year. More game time for Nic will prove this.
Minson and NN for AA ruck division for mine (so far).

I disagree. I don't think he's all that great as a ruckman and as a ruckman, I think Goldstein and Minson are both better. Nic Nat is better as a forward than these two, for sure.

because as much as i hate just sticking midfielders in forward and back pockets of the AA team, i'm not a fan of putting blokes that are basically role players in the AA team, and neither are the selectors. There hasn't been a legit, old fashioned BP picked in the AA team for about a decade.

I'd have 1 in and 2 & 3 just out on the fringe of the 22. Could push in with a couple big games.

Lids would be winning our B&F and has consistently had the biggest impact on most of our games. Martin would be right behind him. Lids isn't 8th in the coaches award for nothing.

Contested disposals average per game:

Martin: 7.5
Deledio: 8.25

Something tells me that given you think Deledio mainly plays at the half back, and that Martin wins plenty of contested ball, that you don't watch that many Richmond games. And by the way, Martin plays loose pretty much every game.
