Hawkins or Walker will take the Coleman. But if Buddy's Kick at goal gets better he'll take it out.

Hawkins and Walker are just heaps more consistant then Buddy.

No they're not. This year, Franklin averaged 3.7 goals per game, kicked 69.64, missed 6 games yet still kicked more goals then both Hawkins and Walker. That just goes to show you the gap between Franklin and the other forwards.

If you take out Buddy's one game, he averaged 3.1 goals per game, less than Walker. His biggest advantage is that he gets so much of the ball on an on day he can kick a massive bag that will almost decide the Coleman there.

But why would you take out Buddy's best game?
It's an outlier? Which is why median prices are often used in housing.

Not that I necessarily agree that his best game should be taken out. You could take 6 goals off that game, he'd have the same average and nobody would bat an eyelid at his 7 goal game.

We might as well take out his 0 goal game against Sydney in round 5 too then. That's the only game where he didn't kick a goal, seems like a bit of an outlier. :p Only takes his average down to 3.3 goals per game then.

It will be out of Buddy, Walker, Pav and Jack as the odds suggest.

Need to be able to kick the odd bag and these guys are more capable than others i reckon.

Am looking forward to seeing whether Clark can carry his early season form this season over a 22 game season next year. He was good, but way overrated by Melbourne supporters on just 11 games IMO. Talk of him being elite by some Melbourne supporters is ludicrous at this stage.

The Riewoldt that successfully 'Bradbured' two Coleman Medals?

No the player that twice had the most goals a season, that is what the award is for it doesn't necessarily mean you were the best forward in the season, sometimes Grand Finals also turn out this way.

It may have been that Jack was second for marks inside 50 for the year, whereas Buddy was 3rd for marks inside 50 but also 3rd for clangers per game, hardly Jacks fault that he is a better overhead mark and a better kick than Buddy, is ito_O

Can we get on buddy for the most points.if tippet comes to our party, get on him.anyway cox plate on this Saturday , happy trials for a place might be worth a look everybody

But didn't he have a limited pre-season and still managed to win the Coleman?? I did not think he had a great year and has another 20 goals in him.

This. J. Riewoldt is classy enough to have a down year and still win the Coleman in a team that finished outside the 8. GUN!

I've got to say it, but why does everybody think buddy will win the Coleman? I don't care how much of the ball he gets he can't kick to save himself or his team.the sooner hawthorn realise this the better. I'm sorry if this upsets people but its the harsh reality
