I hope he lasts til our 2nd, I just think in such a shallow draft every ounce of talent will be snapped up by 30-35. Clubs will see similarities to Nathan and think he's worth a second rounder.

Shallowness of the draft is always overstated.
I remember in 10' the draft was supposed to be worthless after pick 30.
Nek minnit - Howe, Tom McDonald, Luke Parker, Fasolo, Michie, Horlin-Smith, O'Shea, Johnson, Lyons, Puopolo, Duigan etc.

there will always be bargains to be found if you look hard enough (and develop well), but jones is fairly well rated by quite a few recruiters, more of a safe option than the speculative late picks. I can't see him slipping by unnoticed through 2 rounds of the draft. Melbourne will be keen on mids throughout the off season so it seems odd to consider a defender who may or may not become a midfielder, but other clubs might be looking for that type of tough rebounding player and he is a very attractive option in that case. all speculation on my part, I'd love to have him slide down the order but I won't hold my breath

Really? I thought it was pretty underwhelming in my own opinion. Most of his runs were in open space and his kicking and kicking action was a bit suspect.
Sheed on the other hand confirmed to me that he's not as slow as he's made out to be. Make it three Doms, Melbourne!

He bursts away from them, not so much through them.
His work at 1:15 was brilliant and although the kick could have been neater still hit a target.
His kicking looks rough in some places but at 1:48 that is a text book pass.
Sheed is impressive aswell, will be interesting who Roos has in mind.

After the past couple of weeks it seems our biggest deficiency is now our smalls; forwards and backs need a look would be worth rolling the dice in the later parts of the draft this year.

Wouldn't surprise me 1 bit if Tappy is back there next year.. was very good done back in his first games and his kicking is a weapon coming out of defense nd can really relieve pressure quickly nd turn defense into attack..

Im a fan of Freeman but would be stoked if we took Sheed, we need a goal kicking mid
how odd of the eagles to trade away pick 6, don't they want Sheed? are they banking on no-one taking him before pick 11?

Think we'll end up with Freeman or Kolodjashnij.
We all know about Freeman, Kolodjashnij is possibly the best kick in the draft - pretty skinny though and more a rebounding defender then mid.
