Can we not fill this thread with stupid arguments over which club is better. This thread is a competition thread not a Richmond and Essendon supporters fight it out over who is more irrelevant thread

Yes I am heavily biased towards crows but I think that if they have a good run with injuries they will be poking at a top 4 spot, the loss of Tippett having little impact. The game changing abilities of Danger become more frequent. Walker becomes more consistent, as well as kicking large bags of goals on several occasions. Geelong finally fall out of the 8, however, still tear apart the occasional top 4 team. Carlton squeeze into the 9, beating out Richmond by percentage such that Richmond can claim their rightful spot. Essendon have a better run with injuries and cause an upset or two. Sydney's aging playlist starts to catch up with them - especially when it comes to close blockbuster games but are still a solid unit for most of the season. Most the bottom tier teams stay on the bottom tier. North Melbourne to struggle with a tough draw where as Brisbane improve with an easier draw.
Really don't buy into the hype around Carlton or Fremantle.

extremely hard year...considering the essendon saga aswell in this... i would have them 5-8th. my prediction is collingwood to struggle up forward this year, also with injury and a hard draw considering this years talent..Fremantle out in straight sets too, leaving them putting a big price on lance franklins head, considering he will be a free agent if he does not sign with the hawks. 1. West Coast 2. Adelaide 3. Sydney Swans 4. Fremantle 5. Hawthorn 6. Richmond 7. Geelong 8. Carlton

Interesting predications now - with what has come out in last few days - this could be the most unpredictable year on record -as we dont no which players/clubs may be impacted by investigations and to what extent.
I think it is very hard for any one to predict the ladder positions this year.
+Collingwood Could go higher on ladder, but may lose games expected to win.
^Carlton have the potential to go higher than only 8th, but may be affected by inconsistency or just the fact that they have new coaching staff in 2013. Should start off strong as usual. Mid-Season/Late Season will determine just how far they can go in 2013.
•North Melbourne go into 2013 not being expected of, which is much more of the same, as is the same with Sydney. A tough draw to the eye, but the Kangaroos have shown more fight in games of late (excluding Fremantle & West Coast games late 2012) and are going under the radar again. Quite unpredictable in 2013. Could drop off completely due to a humiliating loss in the finals, yet they could also come out hotter than ever. If they can play a more consistent season and not leave it to late streaks or Early bursts of wins. Could be a dark horse or a complete flop.
* Richmond has a lot to prove in 2013. Massive amount of talent on their list but seem to fail at the last hurdle every year, when they've been in the hunt. With no finals experience in the playing group, maturity could test them. For me I still can't see them overcoming the hyped up supporters. Give them a year and they'll be in the finals. Surely. My heart wants me to say yes but once again I think it's beyond them.
¥ Geelong can never be ruled out of contention, as we've seen in the past. Whenever we do it seems like they lift a level, hence why I've given them more potential games to win. In all honesty I can't see them being too successful this season, but you never know...
** Really not sure of the real Essendon at the moment. The whole saga with the Legal/Illegal Supplements leaves many to wonder what will happen to them. Are they as good as we thought circa Round 10 2012? Will they even play for premiership points in 2013? If none of this whole saga were to happen, I may have put them in my top 8, but nothing is certain with them. We'll just wait and see.
