Defenders: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, B Goodes, Vlastuin, Stevenson (Terlich, Colquhoun)

Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Cotchin, Rich, Wines, Crouch, Viney (Kommer, O'Meara)

Rucks: Cox, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Franklin, Zorko, Martin, Broughton, Karnezis, Lee (Macaffer, Neade)

no mid dpp for defence

play cox as fwd so you can use his dpp, drop rockliff , get maric as ruck

I know that a lot of people are going to tell me that I am too light on in the midfield, but this is a strategy that I am pretty committed. Although my early scores will be reflective of my lack of premium midfielders, I believe that by the end of season I will be in a strong position.

Houli - don't be blinded by NAB cup. Many more available at that price, Heppell for example.

Nice Team.....BUT you need to get rid of Pearce, at his price you can find something better.....Harry Taylor?? I think his up for a massive year...i Havent got him in my team but if i could fit him in there I would!!

Like the Watts pick as well...Break out year? could pay off. I'm personally staying away, but its all about taking risk, and Watts isn't a bad one to take, Good luck!!

I'd stay well away from Houli....Looked good in the NAB Cup, but his what you'd call a Pre-season specialist! Notsure about Pettard either...has he been elevated from the rookie list yet?

Ruck combo is solid!!

Lucas showed a bit in the NAB CUP....at that price i guess its worth the risk!

I just put in Bartel in my forward line...hoping for a big year from him!!

Say every prem gets 100, that means each rookies gotta get roughly 70, thats to get 2000.
It would be a good 2nd side to muck with.

BACKS: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Vlastuin, Goodes, Stevenson (Trelich, Colquhoun)

MIDS: Ablett, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Rich, Hannebery, Wines, Mitchell, O'Meara (Viney, Crouch)

RUCKS: Roughhead, Bellchambers (Currie, Rowe)

FORWARDS: Zorko, Rockliff, Cox, Martin, LeCras, Varcoe (Macaffer, Kerridge)

With $187k in the bank. Its working on the look to upgrade of course and quite a few of those would be shipped on sooner rather than later.

Other thoughts were downgrading Bellchambers to someone like Redden, or even a rookie like Witts and making Currie my second ruck choice. Then using the cash to upgrade Rich or Hannebery to a premium. Or using the cash on the Bellchambers downgrade to put one more premium in the back or forward line. I don't really like not having Franklin around but he could be a first upgrade target. Likewise someone like Martin in the forward line could be swapped for anyone of similar price ... suggestions?

I think Bellchambers looks set for a big year so if your going to downgrade him probably only worth it if your going to just go Currie (if selected) and then get another rookie as backup like Witts.

Backline is good except 3 rookies can be risky, also would upgrade Heppell to a proper premium EG. Shaw, Birchall who score consistently around 100+.

I think Rich should be upgraded as gets tagged a lot and cant seem to break it during the year, like thePOD in Hannebery looks like he will score big numbers this year.

Overall good team bud.

Cheers mate. Pearce is my major POD. At Port Adelaide he was tagged pretty heavily each week, I think that at Freo with Barlow, Fyfe, Mundy etc, he may be freed up a bit, especially with the bigger ground. I could well be wrong and have to end up trading him, but it's a risk I'm willing to take
