I like it apart from maybe Suban? What was the reasoning with picking him?

Suban is ... a placeholder for the time being until suitable upgrade $$$ comes along, happy with his work in the pre-season and hoping that he can average 70ish if Ibbotson doesn't get a guernsey (looking unlikely)

Happy to discuss replacement options if available!

Any thoughts getting closer to my team being locked.....until lunch time anyway
9/10ths of my midfield so at least one of us thinks you're on the right track!
Looks solid enough, Cox assured of early good scores with no NN. The only unknown is after seeing the Cloke effect last year how will Buddy go, hence he hasn't made the cut for me. That being said, having been away and missed most of the pre-season I'm way behind on my side so am most likely talking rubbish.

Anyway, thoughts welcome on my bunch

Stuff all cash left over, so am still iffy on Watts (for a mid-price JJ Kennedy, LeCras etc) and maybe Goddard for H Hartlett to boost available funds a bit if they're required.

Luke I would be a bit uneasy about that many rookie defenders but midfield looks rock solid.
Perhaps I would move Jenkins into your forward line, Watts into the backline and swap your rookie backman for a cheap non-playing ruckman?

Thanks for the reply pal. I had planned to go with the 3 cheap ruck policy, but Brad Scott's revelations about not playing Currie and Goldstein together have dented that plan to an extent as job security is thin on the ground for the others and if Currie doesn't play we're all stuffed. Jenkins is a more of a place-holder for Leuenberger too, as I just want to see if 1) he gets on the park and 2) stays there.

Who am I kidding though, by the time Friday rolls around there'll probably be 10 changes to my side, along with about 100,00 other people

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Interesting selection of Houli - looks like you're going for a POD there and good luck to you.
Very solid team all over the park, although I am not sure if Daniher will be playing in the early part of the season and if not, perhaps money could be made elsewhere and he can be traded in at a later date? Good luck.

Happy to take comments on my team anytime ;)

I'd be surprised if Daniher plays much in the first month or so, but as long as Macaffer & Neade are picked you'll be fine there. With Gumbleton currently in the 3 weeks of the season where he's actually fit and the never-ending desire of the coaching staff to play all 3 senior ruckmen together, Joe might be waiting for a few weeks until the latest injury crisis sets in.

Like your fwd and ruck setup, then we come at it from opposite directions, given your advice to me :D I reckon you could drop say Goodes into the backline and turn Suban into a Moloney, Josh Caddy or Luke Parker (depending on your cash obviously). That being said there's probably more cash potential in the midfield and therefore far more upgrade targets available later on.

Fyfe & Mundy is interesting, but being a Freo fan you've obviously got a lot better idea of how they're going.

Solid backline, I cant decide between Houli and Hartlett. Houli is cheaper, but Hartlett has DPP.
Dont like Daniher in the FWD line, I dont think he's going to play that many games.
All looks good otherwise

Any feedback on my squad would be a help, I'm not sold on the FWD line View attachment 13754
Looks good to me, no issues with the forward line except Cloke (thats just my personal choice though & I'd rather Cox there than Cloke). Solid through the mid & backlines too. I have Leuenberger too but have heard he has an injury but not sure to what extent.

My team I think a few of my 500kish midfielders are likely to go up in value tried to really have a couple of DPP across all areas.

Amazing. 17/18 the same as me across def and mids, 4/12 across other two, inc. 0/4 rucks :) same same but different!

Think you've gone way too safe in the Fwds. Karneszis should be on the ground. Downgrade one of Harper or varcoe to a rookie and use the cash however.

Over the last few years i had more than 1 Supercoach side (force of habit and not being happy with 1 line up, i wanted to test out different line ups at the same time), last year i had 4.... this year i was going to go for 5. But realistically they all become too hard to chop and change, so i'm going to TRY and stick with 1 side this year.

My main problem lies in that i stacked the Back, Forward and Ruck positions with stars.... my midfield suffers as a result. Due to a run of bad luck a few seasons ago, i always try to maintain 3 quality ruckmen (my rucks were struck with injury, and i kept on having to waste substitutes replacing them :D). Even after modifying my list so that i have 3-4 decent defenders and fowards, i still have little room to move in the midfield.

Defenders: Adcock, Aylett, Delany, Gibson, Roberts-Thomson, Selwood, Stratton, Toovey

Rucks: Cordy, Mumford, Phillips, Stephenson

Forwards: Franklin, Goodes, Hawkins, Kennedy, Lewis, Stokes, Varcoe, Walker

Midfielders: Pendlebury, Selwood, Caddy, Hunt -- Rampe, Robinson, Hoskin, Williams, Redfern, Dwyer

I like your team - it looks somewhat like mine! Here are my notes after giving it a quick analysis:

- Cotchin was a little bit ordinary throughout the NAB Cup, averaging 64 SuperCoach points.
- Leuenberger is a probable round one starter, however he may not be named. In which case, you'll need a solution. (I'll post a link to my article on solving this problem regarding Leuenberger at the bottom of this reply.)
- Kangaroos coach Brad Scott commented recently that it was very likely that both Goldstein and Currie would be played in the same playing 22 together, as such Currie may not score every week.
- Kennedy is good, as he will score goals, and thus, score well for your SuperCoach team. Varcoe, however, will play up the ground a bit more this year. From Varcoe's five NAB Cup games, he averaged 60.6.
- Kerridge averaged 44.3 SuperCoach points from four Nab Cup games. Your call - with his MPP status and the small selection of forward rookies, he's somewhat of a gamble. Your call. (I had him in my team, but I recently got rid of him to make way for other rookies!)

Other than those few notes, not many players are objectionable. Good luck this year with your team.

My Leuenberger article, Leuenberger out - now what? can be found at: http://supercoachcoach.com.au/blog/comments/leuenberger-out-now-what. If you liked it, I would very much appreciate a vote being placed toward it here: http://supercoachcoach.com.au/forum/viewthread/133/.

Cheers on the advice got a couple of ideas of what to do if Leuenberger doesn't play and you article gave me some more which is much appreciated.
Good luck with your team as well.

Geez

That was kinda my thoughts.
I don't mind giving feedback and expressing my opinion on teams FWIW but I just don't know where to start with this one apart from that there are that many POD's it will either be awesome or awful.
Could turn out to be a new donut franchise really! No offence intended.

None taken, like i said i used to be good at balancing the team out and i'd rack up 1800 at a minimum, but would usually score 2000 - 2400... someitmes higher. Last year was a disaster for the most part, but i learned from mistakes and crafted better lineups with my other squads i had.

I do appreciate feedback and any help given, as long as the advice isn't to remove everyone and start from scratch :D.

Reminds me of my first team. Stocking the back line with Presti, Mal Michael, Luke McCabe etc

But let the boy live his life I say
