Teams 2013 Rate my SuperCoach Team

Some feedback please. I traded out Lake for Fisher, N. Riewoldt for Jack and downgraded B. Grundy for no name ruck scrap the changes and go back to the original lineup?

Over the last few years i had more than 1 Supercoach side (force of habit and not being happy with 1 line up, i wanted to test out different line ups at the same time), last year i had 4.... this year i was going to go for 5. But realistically they all become too hard to chop and change, so i'm going to TRY and stick with 1 side this year.

My main problem lies in that i stacked the Back, Forward and Ruck positions with stars.... my midfield suffers as a result. Due to a run of bad luck a few seasons ago, i always try to maintain 3 quality ruckmen (my rucks were struck with injury, and i kept on having to waste substitutes replacing them ). Even after modifying my list so that i have 3-4 decent defenders and fowards, i still have little room to move in the midfield.

Defenders: Adcock, Aylett, Delany, Gibson, Roberts-Thomson, Selwood, Stratton, Toovey

Rucks: Cordy, Mumford, Phillips, Stephenson

Forwards: Franklin, Goodes, Hawkins, Kennedy, Lewis, Stokes, Varcoe, Walker

Midfielders: Pendlebury, Selwood, Caddy, Hunt -- Rampe, Robinson, Hoskin, Williams, Redfern, Dwyer

Agree. And agree from experience of doing similar back then.
I reckon go for it. Could turn out to trump everyone with so many starting to look similar on here.

Really like this team.
Good balance, rookies look primed apart from the fwd risk that we all face.
Love the Watts / Broughton combo. Just my opinion but I see real upside in this and Lyon (Lying) never plays his team in the NAB as it will be in R1.

No one seems to of picked Grant Birchall, why is this? Who should be there instead and why? I've got Goddard, Gibbs, $507,000 to spend on a player, Hartlett and rookies.

Hibberd? Hmm.

I think Maloney is a good pick even if I don't have him. I would swap Heppell into the backline and take Moloney in the middle. I think you save about 35k doing this aswell. What makes you confident in Hibberd but no Moloney? Brent was very good in the NAB.

Otherwise, seems fine.

I was considering Jenkins for the second ruck spot. I figured why not as a forward as I didn't really want Varcoe, am unsure on Kanezis (have to many Lions anyway) and didn't have the cash for a better mid pricer. What is hos job security like?

Is the 3/3 strat likely to work on defense? I like my midfield and ruck departments at this stage.

Hi Guys, any feedback on my first draft would be much appreciated. My strategy at this stage is to get as many premiums in with rookies - tried to stay away from the dirt trackers for 5 or 6 weeks.

My worries are how to set up my DP players to be most effective.
Pendlebury or Swan or both?
How do I best dodge rookies that will be subbed during a game? Guess thats the $64 question
Will Roughead and Franklin both score well in the same game?
Who else do I look at as a ruck option?

I did supercoach for the first time last year as an experiment and to learn how it worked and went ok. This is my first real go at taking it seriously. Any feedback on my team would be much appreciated.

Defenders: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, B Goodes, Vlastuin, Stevenson (Terlich, Colquhoun)

Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Cotchin, Rich, Wines, Crouch, Viney (Kommer, O'Meara)

Rucks: Cox, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)

Without changing anything you should be able to afford a Roughy/Ryder? Or if you can free up a small chunk of cash elsewhere I'd be grabbing Cox/Maric rather than having nearly 300k sitting there.

Trying something a bit different to the norm this year.
Only going for league win not overall so SJ being out first week wont hurt nor will LueyBurger missing the first couple if it happens.

I'd upgrade Leuey to another premium.
I'm also not big on Dusty, would probably switch him out for Bartel or similar. However that'd take up the money for upgrading Leuey to premium.
You could always swap Dusty for Roughy/Ryder and switch Rowe into your ruck bench for the Forward/Ruck swap and keep Leuey just to see how he goes, but then have the swap in case?

Personally I would swap Leuenburger for McEvoy or Maric.
Just remember with Rocklif he has the nasty habit of going missing for a few games at a time. Last year he started like a house on fire but then had a period where he scored 60 - 80

I had Duffield, then changed to Watts and Chapman then changed to Bartel... Chappy is personal preference, but depends if he's named Rd 1...
Other thoughts were downgrading Fyfe to rookie (if any left) and upgrading a backline?
