Does that push finals back? I have emailed league for confirmation but I suggest it would make our Grand Final Day the first week of September.I see our round 2 games that got washed out, will be played on the 10th of Aug.

The reference to his flashy boots was also quite interesting! However I did get confused when they said he'd played a good game!So I was lucky enough to attend umpire training on Wednesday and found it interesting that the example of a fictional character "Troy" from Beenleigh is used when explaining how to break up a melee. This "Troy" apparently had someone in a headlock on the weekend and when asked by his name to remove himself he was happy to oblige.
Is this news worthy? probably not but the thread is a little dead of late.
Ha ha gold!Divo - sort it out - cant have the league messing with footy trips!!
swooper i heard you once had a bloke in a headlock - but at the same time where whispering in his ear that you were doing him a favour by protecting him from Muzza!!
You could start by telling the club official (that did your goal umpiring in seniors) that standing on the field as Reserves were in position for first bounce and yelling "Hey Swoopa. Old, fat and slow mate" whilst patting his tummy isn't the best example for your young squad.Came up against a class outfit yesterday coomera have done some good recruiting will take some beating, gave us Carrara boys something to think about,
Ill shed a little light on the Beenleigh v Logan games in the Morris absence,
Ressies was pretty hard fought with ambulances on the field twice for two different incidents ( one from either team). Which saw us loose probably a full quarter and then some in playing time. Very close game with both teams have lots of opportunities but nether able to capitalise too much. Beenleigh was down by 3 goals with about 5 mins to go and looked like they could run away with it but logan slowed their play down and took a bit of control, winning by a kick in the end.
Seniors was a different stories completely. No only in the sense of the score board but injury wise as well. Almost no scuffs and very minor injuries. The Beenleigh team was the better team by a long way after the first quarter and continued to run away with the game until the 4th where the quarter was still all buffs but not by so much as the 2md and 3rd.
Cheers!
Mitch looked like beenleigh had some handy new recruits.
Serious height and size about them. Your senior team looked first rate best of luck for a good year!

I believe he would've had a nice serving of humble pie with the copious amounts of dim sims he obviously smashed down pre-game when I kicked our opening goal and proudly patted my tummy towards the bench.
I generally like to see the good in people but if you act like a w@nker you deserve to be treated like a w@nker.
Don't see anything wrong with that swoopa! Bit of banter from the sidelines with no abusive language used! I cop that most games but normally abit more language only difference is I am to old fat and slow! I wouldn't get to upset by it as some of the stuff coming from your supporters was a lot worse than fat and slow. Really don't believe there was to much malice intendedYou could start by telling the club official (that did your goal umpiring in seniors) that standing on the field as Reserves were in position for first bounce and yelling "Hey Swoopa. I agree 100% Budgey that some "friendly banter" from the sidelines is acceptable and a common occurrence. Strangely enough as a pasty red head I do hear a little bit (your balcony included).Don't see anything wrong with that swoopa! Bit of banter from the sidelines with no abusive language used! Well after a big start to the season it is starting to all take shape...
Anyone going to venture a tip for an upset this week?
Beenleigh V UQ
Carrara V Calamvale
Coomera V Roosters
Logan V Ippy
I think Match of the round will go to Logan and Ippy as it may be the most competative. Although I would like to see the other games go that way as well.
