Leslie is a project player and is probably goin g to become a key defender who shits down and that's it. Laverde is a midfield that reminds me of a young Pendlebury.

The bolded names are the ones I find the most interesting.
Especially Sheed and Duggan.
Do you rate Sheed highly or think that Duggan is an also ran?

Don't know about Apeness being a long term project player. Broke into the team in his first season and was already competing physically with seasoned players. Obviously noone knows if he'll last the journey, but of the ways you could put a question mark next to his name, that's one of the last I'd use. the kids already a monster.

He's more competent physically than Taberner imo.

All those tall and/or athletic mids-flankers will play like Fyfe, Judd, Pendlebury, Bontempelli, Kouta (Tom Bell ) and Dangerfield, rather than Jack Watts, Jarrad Grant, Gary Rohan, David Myers, Cale Morton, Gysberts, Andrew Moore, Shaun Grigg and Kane Lucas. AFL players who starred as juniors and have talent, but didn't become elite.

Every draft suddenly sounds like it's deeper than the 2001 draft.

Boekhorst isn't a role player like Armfield or even Curnow.

Lot of expectations on Acres who received a four year deal compared to Menzel signing for just two.

Mainly all of the quoted players have as part of their base instinct the ability to put the head over the ball and be genuinely hard at the contest.
Boekhorst doesn't have this, he's been working at it and has become more solid but it's not part of his make up.

That's probably the biggest difference for me.
He has a long way to go regardless.
