Both clubs need multiple picks to improve as fast as possible. l hope WC keep #1 and North keep their picks .Who is better of ?Tell that to your supporters, who keep visiting our board, who seem to think 2 & 15 will get the job done because we need 'multiple' picks in the first round...
Don’t think we’ll be accepting your scraps with the hope of trading them for pick 8, that’s your job. Both clubs need multiple picks to improve as fast as possible. l hope WC keep #1 and North keep their picks .Who is better of ?
Having pick#1 who every seems to assume that WC use for Reid (l think they will pick Mckersher BTW) and then wait till their next pick at #23 or end up with 2, 15 and maybe 18 which would give them more depth. Remembering that if Sanders goes before the Cats pick 8 then they might do a trade to them for their pick 8 using 15 and 18. North would be quite happy with keeping their picks of 2,3,15,17,and 18 with the same intention towards the Cats pick8.
So do WC take 1 pick which is a "generational player" if the pick Reid or do they pick Mckersher with the view of maybe getting pick 8 from the Cats for someone like Curtin and no doubt annoy their supporters for not taking Reid. Wc have not said that they will take Reid. All they have said is they will keep pick#1 when asked...
Time will tell...
Pretty much the same as your supporters expecting us to give out 2 and 3 ...it just wont happen..Tell that to your supporters, who keep visiting our board, who seem to think 2 & 15 will get the job done because we need 'multiple' picks in the first round...

Looks like you’re going to have to trade down your pick 3 with Melbourne if you want to make any reasonable offer then. We’ve already established your scraps aren’t going to cut it unfortunately for you guys.Unfortunately that wont happen, as for us to offer a trade of 15 and 18 to the Cats for their pick 8 it would have to be BEFORE your first pick. Geelong wont do a trade regarding pick 8 until they can see whether Sanders has been taken before them..So for pick 8 to get to WC they would have to offer our picks of 15 and 18 to get pick 8..

No-one expects it; that's just what it'll take.Pretty much the same as your supporters expecting us to give out 2 and 3 ...it just wont happen..

I'm not expecting it to happen, unless Rawlings gets massive FOMO when WCE are on the clock.Pretty much the same as your supporters expecting us to give out 2 and 3 ...it just wont happen..
I think this is the only way it happens. Rawlings’ posturing means he would lose all credibility if he pulled the trigger, so I don’t think it will.I'm not expecting it to happen, unless Rawlings gets massive FOMO when WCE are on the clock.
The split last year has been done to death in this thread
It's the weakest analysis possible to look at that and assume we will do the exact same this year
I actually think it's pretty clear what WC will accept for a trade this year. Highly doubt it will be for a couple of late teen picks but we'll see
You're ignoring the fact you guys decided to trade out of the pointy end of the draft to go back and get 2 talented local boysAlso, anyone using last year as an example of a 'clear' list strategy decision of WCE to target WA talent specifically clearly doesn't follow the draft.
The whole series of events was triggered by JHF leaving North. He stays and that 4(?) Club trade never happens.
North take Sheezel and WCE draft Cadman.
Welcome to the pick 1 thread where North supporters have been making the same arguments for 383 pages. Please leave any terrible offers on the table inside the front door and have a lovely day. You're ignoring the fact you guys decided to trade out of the pointy end of the draft to go back and get 2 talented local boys

Read the middle paragraph another 10 times and it may start to sink in.You're ignoring the fact you guys decided to trade out of the pointy end of the draft to go back and get 2 talented local boys
Considering it took 11, 18 and a middling future 1st for the dogs to get 5 I don't see how 15 + 18 is anywhere near enough for 8.Unfortunately that wont happen, as for us to offer a trade of 15 and 18 to the Cats for their pick 8 it would have to be BEFORE your first pick. Is your view that wasn't a planned strategy but just a coincidence? The only ignoring happening is you ignoring the posts you replied to
I imagine it’s more likeReid (pick 1) >>> Curtin (pick 2) and Hardeman or Tholstrup (pick 15)

Why are you deliberately ignoring that the only reason it happened to begin with was JHF leaving North? Is your view that wasn't a planned strategy but just a coincidence?
Obviously from now on WC are splitting their 1st pick every year for locals, there's clearly a solid one year pattern to go offIs it your view that every team has the same strategy every year and every draft is the same?
