Would be very sad to see him go, but how much more has he really got in him? For me its all about his wage demands, particularly as we're already under salary cap pressure.

It's a balancing act, as Musky seems to have been alluding to in his responses to Archie's demands.

From the article >

"Everyone knows that I want to play on. Whether it be here, it's still yet to be decided. I spoke to Musky 4 months ago and said where does my future lie? He said it's a month by month, week by week thing".

Not ideal after such a long season not to have his contract sorted out....but seriously, it's GF week focus on the important stuff Archie. Straight bat mate.

Watching several 6pm news shows last night and they were saying it's bad for the fans that the game is at AAMI and they've been let down by the FFA because it would have been so much better at Etihad with double the crowd.

I know I have a ticket but I also fronted up my hard earned at the start of the year to be a member and have no qualms with other members being guaranteed a ticket and non-members finding it hard to get a ticket. You just have to look at the AFL grand final and how supporters are priced out of a ticket and the atmosphere is always better at the Prelims. I would say that 90% of the crowd on Sunday will be die hard supporters which will make this a spectacle that the FFA can be proud of, regardless of their stuff up.

For me, watching Football at Etihad sux, especially when the seats aren't brought in. AAMI Park is a purpose built rectangular stadium and I think it will be more daunting for Sydney than Etihad would have been, regardless of what Arnie is saying. If only the government had gone with an extra 5000 seats when building the stadium Victory probably wouldn't have to play at Etihad at all.

I agree with this.

While I'd love to go I'm not a member and I have no problems not having access to a seat, I only go to 5 matches a season on average and have watched about two thirds of the rest on TV. I'm about as close to a casual supporter as you can get. Its only fair that the people who have payed for a membership and have fronted up to most home games get to go to the biggest match of the year. I imagine the people who go most weeks but aren't members is a very small minority. I'm just grateful that I got to go to the semi-final which was an incredible night.

You can get a 5 game membership, and gives you the same finals tickets entitlements I'm pretty sure. The only things is, you have to choose whether you watch 5 games at Etihad or AAMI.

Back on general sale at 1.

Football family period was 9-12 this morning, they obviously then need an hour to flick some switch onto general sale. You still could get one.
