You can buy tickets from members who have bought tickets and can no longer make the game. You should not buy from scalpers because you run the risk of having your ticket confiscated. There's also no reliability with purchases from eBay and Gumtree, with the AFL, Victoria Police and Federal Police monitoring most auction websites.
Tickets can be on-sold from members who've bought tickets to the general public, but cannot be sold for a premium. They must be sold at exactly the same price they were purchased for.

Grand Final Packages
What is a Grand Final Package?
A grand final package is sold to the public at a premium price by the AFL Football clubs for the general public to the AFL grand final. Packages typically consist of a breakfast with the football club as well as reserved seats to the grand final with pre-paid seats according to the seating categories. Anyone can buy these tickets from any club, but they do cost a lot, typically starting at $1,500.

Grand Final Parade
Each year the grand final parade starts on St Kilda road and finishes opposite Treasury building on Collins st. It's always run between the finalists the Friday before the grand final.

Grand Final Entertainment
The AFL has brought in Olivia Newton John to sing the national anthem, Ed Sheeran to play at half time and Tom Jones to play with Ed Sheeran for the entertainment to follow after the match.

Getting There
The two closest train stations are Jolimont and Richmond, within 500 metres of the football ground. Metro will run extra services throughout grand final day to cope with the capacity crowd. There's a number of tram services running along Wellington Parade and Swan St that will stop just as close as the train stations. There's also grand final day parking at the ground, as well as a number of car parks along Flinders St, Wellington Parade, Bridge Rd, Russel St and Exhibition Sts.
Parking at the ground will set you back $10/car, but keep in mind that it'll probably take you at least an hour or more to leave the ground by car.

The best way to get to the ground on grand final day is to catch the train into Flinders St and walk along the Yarra River behind Fed Square. It's about 1km to the ground and takes 15 minutes to walk. There's a heap of pubs along the way as well to stop by.
I recommend against using car park facilities near the ground because of price hikes for event days, as well as massive congestion along Punt Rd, Bridge Rd, Swan St, Flinders St, Wellington Parade and all surrounding streets. If you want to park in the city, park in Docklands, Spencer St, or the north end of Elizabeth St (free and metered parking) and catch the train/tram to Flinders St.
