why can,t the roos beat noosa. amazing hoodoo that nearly goes back for ten years. even last year when noosa weren,t very good . elimination final next week will be epic. sorry about no capitals to lazy . no 25 for roos superstar running machine.

Yeah its a funny one Nth st - maybe personnel this year but certainly in years gone by there should have been matches won. And yes, young Jackson Ryan is a very very good footballer. Plays like his old man a little actually..

Prelim and Grand Finals will be played at Caboolture i'm fine with that

Makes sense Tiger - is central to all sides in the comp, great facilities, will be a neutral ground. Think there could be a real good atmosphere generated as well if there are a thousand people there.

you would hope any surplus income generated doesn't just go straight in their pockets though, don't want another Yeronga situation where they get all sorts of income earners because of their 'useful tenants'

Not sure what you mean by that QAFL but if you mean the surplus goes to Caboolture AFC then not sure why not? Thats the whole idea of hosting the finals. Caboolture people will be doing the work, the club should get the $$ generated. You pay to host finals, need to get a return on that money.

Agree in general.

However, if they keep getting awarded finals due to the great facilities they have, but didn't pay for - then there needs to be a line there somewhere that involves revenue sharing.

If caboolture can make a good profit and this in turn allows them to invest in a profile coach next year, that improves them, therefore the comp, who could begrudge that? Provided they pay the Alfq fee to host like every other club, and run the day with their volunteers, good luck to them.

I don't mind Caboolture making some coin out of this, they could use it to improve their situation in coming years and maybe increase interest in footy around that area., help them build!

Thats a silly argument QAFL - name me a club that has paid for their own facilities without grants etc? Hosting finals isn't a licence to print money. Yeronga FC have hosted finals for years yet haven't exactly smashed fwd as a football club. Lots of hard work to run finals by club people. Every cent they earn they deserve. Don't be a scrooge. Caboolture have paid $1900 and $2500 to host the prelim and GF's respectively. That requires them to get a return on investment.

Caloundra to smack the roos out of the comp this week bookmark it.
Noosa will also be to good for kedron

Agree with that Suncoast, young Hipwood and Ross up forward will be too much for the Roos defence to handle. The Roos are off the boil at the business end of the season. Should be a cracker game all the same, with a bit of feeling.

And Noosa just too tough for Kedron. Should also be a very tight game.
Wouldn't write off Kedron, they have given Noosa some very stiff opposition including a victory over them, but Noosa should be favourites on their home patch in a close one.

Caboolture didn't pay for its construction Thunder - the AFL/council did BUT they pay a lease fee in the same way Maroochy pay the local council to rent out Fish rd.

think that is what thunder meant smy :)

Real good game of local footy at Fish rd today - both Panthers and Roos brought their games and it was a great contest. Maroochy got out early, looked the likely winners at half time before Caloundra kicked a couple of goals late in the 3rd to make it a 3pt game at 3/4 time. Fair southerly blowing though that the Roos had in the last and it was enough to hang on. Both clubs had a handful of U18's out there which is good for both futures. And considering the weather, the ground was in outstanding condition, certainly better than the slosh that was dished up at Noosa. Didn't see the A grade but they are lucky no one drowned up there today!!

Disgraceful conditions at Noosa - and they were hosting junior finals today. Thats the end of that ground for the year!! Touch wood the weather doesn't pick up again this week as Fish rd is hosting the junior GF's and it would be great to have the ground in good nick. It held up remarkably well yesterday!

SF - obviously a healthy rivalry bn the Roos and Panthers. Probably no love lost but you would like to think that the blokes walk off the ground, shake hands, share a beer and get on with life irrespective of the scorelines. Some of the young fellas go to high school together! No matter how much some gnarly old bastards would like their troops to hate each other, they just won't,,, :)
