be interesting to see if there is any back story between Bolton perhaps getting the gig with us and Hallahan coming, on the surface though looks like Hallahan will be done and dusted before we do our first round of interviews

Well if we're running with that.. Gorringe will never be our #1 ruck and play seniors for us again. Well behind Nicholls and smith.. Dixon will ruck before him.
+ he wants out.. His either gone this year or next.. It's just the fact his contracted ATM he is staying here.
His trading stocks will diminish further after another year in the NEAFL
 
Ben you have lost the plot mate. You don't play a guy ahead of your 2 best rucks who actually want to be there just to get his stocks up. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Need to get fair value for him though. Port were being cheeky offering only #37. Hes shown some good signs just hadn't had a good run due to injuries more than anything. He's currently worth more than that - mid to late 20s seems more fair?

He won't go that far man. Ruckmen hold value for a long time. Pick 28 for Shaun Hampson. Nuff said.

Worth the risk I think
 
The other thing is, with another year more clubs will get in his ear. Every possibility a bidding war could erupt between clubs chasing a player of his type with age on his side.

Used to love a scrap in the TAC cup apparently too. Him and Lynchy will be dropping blokes left, right and centre next year.
 
we are way past the point of gifting games for experience, but in saying that I don't see why Gorringe can't force his way into the 22. Obviously he is coming from a long way back, but with a full pre-season (for the first time??) and a bit of confidence the kid could become anything.

Not keen on Robinson if we get Hallahan. Will just clog our list. I would rookie him though.
