You guys have any intrest in Griffen? After this whole Boyd fiasco we'd probably rather send him to you guys.

Your first pick and McKenzie/second pick would probably be a fair deal I'd imagine.

No chance on the first. Absolutely no chance in hell on the second.

Everyone's interested but picking up Griffen would pose a few problems for us

His salary demands would exceed what we would be willing to offer, he's probably a couple of years too old for us unless we were really looking to push for a flag starting next year, and I don't think we'd really be willing to give up first and second round picks all things considered.

I do like Griffen though, hope you guys get a good deal

Worth the risk I think
Absolutely agree. What's is potentially better, Gorringe ruckman drafted at pick 10 I think? Or an unknown quantity at Pick 37?
Give him a break and let him try and develop and string a whole season together. Potentially could be our number 1 ruck.

I think every year we have had a different favourite ruck, purely because of injuries. They are all developing well, Smith was number 1, then Hickey, now Nicholls.

2015 - year of the Gorringe

read up on Hallahan some more love his boxing pedigree, would make a few opposing players think twice before lining him up
OMG!...seriously??...Oh yeah let's get Mitch because he can box, so that means he can whack opposing players!? Stupid comment mate!

Hawthorn's Mitch Hallahan is edging closer to signing with Gold Coast as it becomes apparent that in order to play more senior football, he'll have to move elsewhere.

Whilst Hawthorn are reluctant to let Hallahan go reports Jay Clark, who has played under 10 senior games with the Hawks, Gold Coast's offer of three years with guaranteed senior action is the best move for his fledging career.

Maybe you should read up on it. One of the main reasons hawks were so impressed with him.

Theres an article some where the hawks put out after we drafted him saying we usually pick for needs but we rated him so highly in the draft that when he was there for our first round we consider him but when he was available for our 2nd we couldnt pass him over.

Broke his ankle in preseason boxing, still capt his tac cup team and made the vic squad while playing though it.

This kid is tough smart and good at footy. Only knock is he is as slow as Sam Mitchell.

Hallahan can not play in a team with mitch hodge shiles and lewis. Hallahan anit a tagger ether even though he is a better inside mid then shiles he wins out because of versatility.

We should never of drafted him we knew we had to many inside mids and it would be next to impossible for a kid like him to break in to our team but we just rated him so highly. To us it was like picking a first round draft pick at 39.

We have our eggs in the baskets of jack leslie and schade

Kind of worrying with Henry having not come on after that many years being put into him. Leslie may become a good player but going off what we saw of him last year, it is going to take at least another year or 2 before he is up to the level.

Anyone wanna guess when the Hallahan deal will be done? last day?
