Popped in to training this morning for about 90 mins. Pav and Spurr are a bit sore and were running laps. Tucker knocked a knee and is apparently discussing his options with a specialist in melb. Mora and Balla turned up together for their hammy rehab. Apeness was in the gym.
As soon as i arrived i started foaming at the mouth seeing Harley for the first time in the main group. I'm stating the obvious but he is a very special player. His disposal is top notch over 45m which puts him in rare air in our squad. His ability to get involved and position himself is also a pleasure to watch. Also great to see how well he gets on with the boys (especially sonny).
Sam Collins almost deflated a ball with a fist that landed 30m over the fence. He seems to be a good tradotional defender with quite a good kick too.
Neale was on fire in the half field handball game. His hands are top notch in close.
Is it just me or is Croz drifting away and looking further and further from getting a game this yr. It seems 3 or 4 blokes may have leap frogged him.
Yarran is lightning off the mark but still has a way to go. He is very silky and will, in time, add some flare close to goal and allow walters to play further up. Can't wait to see him for peel rnd 1.
I agree with other training watchers on Uber. He is already a big lad and he competes hard.
Tabs and Griff dominated the forward 50 for their team in the full ground match sim. Both had two or threeshots on goal each after strong marks.
The disposal through the corridor and into the forward 50 looked pretty good. T-bone Sheridan will take the next step this yr.
Ross looked awesome on the balcony in his George Bailey floppy white Freo hat.

Uebergang to me is a special rookie player that somehow get to us. If he avoid injuries this season in WAFL. I think he is ready to put his hand up for 2017.

Does Harley look quick out there?

I'm not sure why he's put on 5kgs unless we plan to play him as an inside mid.
Harley is a smooth mover as compare to fyfe where coulda mention bulk too much. I don't expect fyfe to pick up the ball one hand and run like he use to this season compare to previous season that just my observation.

Fyfe is the steak and Bennell is the sizzle.

That’s my point Meima :)

Fyfe wouldn't be as big if he was to play on a flank which endurance and speed is a priority.Bennell putting on 5kgs (against the trend of most AFL players wanting to lose weight) has to mean he will play large periods as an inside mid where strength is an asset; it's the only logical answer.

Don't worry from near I can't see where the 5kg come from, I not saying Rossy lied but he is a natural footballer Harley.

I like my steak to be medium rare but that is way too much overdone.
Are you saysing Fyfe is overdone?? I'd say he's "Juuuuust righhht"

Ps : I love medium rare steaks as well. Only way to eat them!!

Fyfe & Bennell both spent time around the stoppage drills today. Fyfe was scary good. Bennell is pure silk, his kicking is amazing.
Hill did some inside work too & won som impressive contests against the likes of Barlow & Neale.
I continue to be impressed by Hughes, Ueber & Collins. They are all so neat & composed & kick really well. During one marking drill with Rodger every ball came back flat, hard & accurate from all 3. Rodger was clapping every kick.
Weller, Blakely & Langdon worked together on ground balls & skills & look sharp.
Great to see AP back but he was a touch rusty.
Grey looking really sharp.
Tanner practiced leading & marking for a while. Looked good & his kicking seemed better. Still very hit & miss but better.
All skills & set plays today. Short, sharp session.

I disagree that fyfe is scary good today (maybe not getting use to his current size). Tanner in sim allow Tab to grab 2 mark. I think ryhuis kicking is pretty good also.

Mora ,Ballas and Apeness out after the main squad and into their rehab. Balla looks like there is not to much wrong. Apeness is sprinting and Mora has gone past the walking stage and is involved in controlled running. Ballic not sighted ,Hurley on crutches and looks a long way off. Mundy out for a brief run and kick. Mundy has a slight groin problem. Spurr and Pav running laps. Johnno and A Pearce both completed a full session with the main squad

Have you or has anybody asked what is up with Hurley at the moment?
