Training 2015/16 preseason training (discussion)

had a chat with the groundskeeper who said the players are doing a 3k off-site tomorrow and full training at Freo Oval resumes Friday.
Just to elaborate on my earlier post Fyfe was already running when I got there about just after 8.30. He did a bit of kick to kick with a trainer and then proceeded to punch out a series of timed zig zag runs starting at one end of the ground running to the wing, laterally to the other wing and then to the goals. He was looking at his watch and pumping them out. He was sweating buckets and not just ambling around out there.

Hill meanwhile ran about a million laps and looked like he could have done the crossword while covering the ground like a gazelle.

Richard the Groundsmen did also say there would be a few guys down on Wednesday for training but as you have indicated main group will be there on Friday. See my earlier post about the players and media who rocked up after you left. See you next time you are there.

jedi mind tricks Dr Larkin's comments were a generalisation for that sort of injury and it' not that he gave a medical opinion that could be relied upon as he had scant information. So blame Ch 7 for the worst case scenario in regards the injury. You will be happy to know Ch 10 & plus 9 were there and 7 missed out seeing Nathan but he trained on the field and timing wise from what I remember was before the Channels got there but they did film him leaving in his car going past the South changerooms

Didn't see you there today or salim malik but your mate couldhavebeen was there I thought he might have come along to see you and wish you Happy New Year with a light peck on the cheek. ha ha

The training standouts today were Fyfey (in his Grey Lexus 4 WD) Hill (in his nice red Jeep 4WD) Clarke and Taberner (in a VW Beetle) ha ha as they were the only ones that trained. There were only a few of us there so we observed player arrivals for something to do hence reference to vehicle types. We had some interesting discussions with Hugo Clems Knee and sherrif to pass the time of day as well. Coulda didn't mention the Laurie Lawrence exercise but one of the posters remembered that Laurie Lawrence was never the Head Coach of the Australian Swimming team. How's that for a bit of trivia.

Allikat she would have loved training today Fyfe had the Man Bun in place and Tabs was topless;):p:D.
Can't wait for to see Fyfey train Tuesday. It's about time the football public hold all reporters accountable for there sensational headlines.

Agree but of course Ch7 will just sidestep that.... We can only hope the other journos don't miss the chance to dig the knife in a bit.

I am probably not the only one but when the Mrs first told me it was _ _ _ _!!, when I then found it was Channel Eagle reporting it was like oh ok lets wait a bit and see what the REAL story is from a more reliable source.

Edit: Welcome to BF by the way...

They are running the 3 km at McGillivray tomorrow and some will be training Wednesday but whole group will work out on Friday as advised today by Richard the Groundsman. He works his activities around training times and liaises with the Club personnel .

You can still run with the injury Fyfe has. Will take about 6 weeks to fully heal going from my dealings.
Then he should be about four weeks off joining in with the main training. Not nearly the 'major back injury' reported in the media.

Okay. I went for a ride today to see the boys do their 3km run at McGillivray Oval. I arrived just before 7am, thinking that the club would be setting up for an early run, as it was forecast to be hot.

At about 7.10 four young men dressed in purple arrived at the other end of the ovals and started doing some short half hearted run throughs. They turned out to be dressed in Perth Glory uniforms.

Disappointed, I left at 7.30, and rode home before it got too hot. Almost certainly, about one minute after I left, the entire Fremantle Football Club arrived and ran the entire 3km with no shirts on (for you Allikat) , except for Nathan Fyfe, who is still getting used to his prosthesis after having one of his legs amputated in an innocuous training mishap. Or not.

tl;dr: I came, I saw nothing, I went.
