My mate who works at Fox Footy reckons they were negotiating with the AFL over the weekend regarding coverage of the U18 champs. Not sure whether that means it will be shown online or on Fox Footy, but would be a good move forward

edit: probably shouldn't have said that, don't want to jeopardise anything due to loose lips.

Haysman - I thought he was outstanding and unlucky not to be in the best players, worked his ringer off all day. 20 possessions and 7 inside 50's used the ball superbly and his efficiency would have been 100%. His un rewarded running to space on several occasions was frustrating to watch. Just made the right decision each time, why wouldn't you draft him?

Watched him live over here in Perth when he played WA. And I loved him walked away as my guy for the draft. But I was interested in reading about he's running that's wasn't rewarded. I found that the same over here.
, so many get and go options that he got burnt and the player who burnt him more often then not just bombed it. His work rate was one thing that stood out and he didn't appear to spend much time one the bench.

Some will broadcasts be free and will start this weekend.

Yeah now it's just about padding the side to make the 30 man x 2 games rule. This would take us to 39x1 already, I suspect it's about getting it done by round 4 and showing the real kids over in Victoria.

Brind is an interesting one. He's a real brute of a player, man child, brick shithouse etc. - I think he'll probably add to the forward line more than you'd think despite not being very draftable. Evans is a meh player for mine. Far prefer to see a Broadwood type included. Wildman has talent and has been putting up some decent performances in the ressies this year and Graham is a gun - and one for next year.

Bampton had to go out, if you're an overager you can't afford to be in the weaker players on the day. Hewett is stiff, perhaps he's just being managed. Scharenberg has seriously underwhelmed so that's understandable and Agius is just frustrating. I hope he gets a shot over in round 5-6 cause he deserves it on talent alone but time is ticking to get his shit together.

Beat up a skinny kid in Rotham in the first. Looks fat, slow and lacking in athletic prowess. Hands are seriously strong, but just seems to stand and wait for the ball far too much for my liking.

Ahead of Wright, maybe. but McCartin?

Isn't that what was said about McGovern ?
I supposes if your investing a high first rounder your criteria would be a lot more strict

I'm tempted to not bother. With the sides selected it's going to be a sub div 2 standard game that I could stream from home and save the two hour round trip.

Think I'll still go purely as you pick up far more at the ground but the temptation not to is strong. The 30 players x2 rule is just shit, means games like this end up happening.

Loving big McClarty getting another run at it. Hope big red can clunk a few...
