That is a very good Country side.

Keen to see how McKay goes with Schache up forward bc they should get some very good supply.

Delighted to see Bampton in for SA as well.

Yea glad to see how Bampton will go. Dropped back to Norwood ressies but has been playing solid footy there. I was a big fan of him 2 years ago but he really stalled last year. He's certainly got very good inside ability and a super hard body. Will do a lot of crash and bash work tomorrow I would assume.

Chris and any other SA folks heading to footy park tomorrow aside from Skippos?

Would love to hear how the Vic Metro game goes tomorrow if anyone was keen for a write up, I'd really appreciate it.

1/4 time SA 4.4 (28) lead VM 0.3 (3)

Even first half of the term with a lot of contested packs and scrubby kicks. Once the sides settled a bit SA looked more dangerous across half forward and worked harder around the packs. VM had some nice bursts down the far wing into attack but shots went wayward.

Best for SA so far: Dew was good early, showing smarts and good skills, Francis took a screamer from the back of the pack, he sure can jump that lad. Hewett good inside, Aguis been ok but lazy at others. Thought Parella has been good in ruck but not dominant. Markov and Olekalns decent too. Redman good late with 2 goals.

VM O'Kearney solid getting bit of the pill, Clarke nice, Cameron clean and Collins matching it in ruck at times.

1/2 time...

SA 7.8 50 lead VM 2.4 16

SA are starting to move the ball a bit better, skills are starting to show and Metro can't keep up. Markov looking good, Agius having his moments when his natural talent shines, while Redman has 3 goals and is showing why he shouldn't have been left out last week. For Metro, Crocker finally got their first goal over halfway through the quarter, while Matera got a late one.

1/2 time SA lead 7.8 (50) VM 2.4 (16)

But closer that term especially near the end. VM are working hard but struggling past half forward.

Best players that term for SA: Markov was excellent early on with lots of the pill, thought Nunn was bit better that term. Olekalns running around through Middle causing issues with his zip and nous, Francis continues to intercept marks with power in contested packs. Aguis showing so much potential at times, you can tell he is smart but laconic as they come. Partington work man like, Hewett not bad, Coombe ok also. Bonner not had much of it but hasn't been down there a lot. Thought Ladhams provided a good target and Allen took a strong grab in the square. Redman creative around half forward. Scharenberg has been quiet all game. Disappointing from him so far.

For VM: Balic had a better term but by god he is slow. Not much quicker in the mind either but at the same time you can see he can play. Good size, bit of an awkward style for a mid. O'Kearney continues to work hard, Crocker very good at finding it as well but skills average. Batty showed some good inside work as well. Gresham not bad and thought Foley was good also.

Milera been super good at the small things. Game stops around him. Parting tons running patterns are elite. NOK butchering for fun, Jarrad smith exceptional. Olekalns looks a class above and Markov has been absolutely super overhead. Redman's forward iq superb

3/4 time SA lead 9.13 (67) VM 6.6 (40)

All I can say is a disgraceful end to the third term by SA. They just stopped working. VM moved ball easily. Bad kicking at other end didn't help as they couldn't exert scoreboard pressure. But a bit of a meh 1/4 overall. Nobody stood out.

For SA Bampton worked harder inside, Partington showed some class, Milera good pressure and goal sense up forward. Francis crazy courage, Aguis limped off for a while but back on. SA need more from their guns in the middle with Snelling, Nunn, Haysman needing to do more. Ladhams was good in ruck that term.

For VM Thompson had a good term, Balic working hard, Answerth showed clean skills and pushed forward and looked dangerous. O'Kearney keeps finding the pill and Moore showed some presence.

Full time...

SA 13.15 93 beat VM 10.8 68

Markov finished with 5 goals, showing why he's #1 on my soon to be posted list of 19 year olds to watch. BOG was between him and Francis down back. The usual players with the most touches - Partington, Snelling, O'Kearney, Gresham. Houston with 4 and Matera 2 for Metro.
