Setting a reminder on my phone to come back to this post in a year's time, fingers crossed.
Your absolutely dreaming if you think we will finish third last, we are more like on the verge of another tilt then going back, we will overtake Port next year, you guys shouldn't of even beat us this year if it wasn't for a cheating umpire and a dodgy paid mark to Harlett. Just you wait.

1 Sydney 19-3
2 Port Adelaide 19-3
3 Hawthorn 18-4
4 North Melbourne 16-6
5 Geelong 14-8
6 Adelaide Crows 14-8
7 Fremantle 13-9
8 West Coast 11-11
No one will make the 8 with an 11-11 record, even with a percentage of 200. There are 18 teams, and 8 finals spots, which suggests that there needs to be certainly more than a 50% win record to make the finals.
The rule used to be 12-10 and your in, I think it's more like 13-9 now.

Hawthorn...18 plus h/a wins

Daylight difference between them and 2nd on the ladder....

Then in the finals some team will get flogged in the grand final by the Tasmanian/Hawthorn Hawks.
perhaps Port, Fremantle or Sydney

then a whole lot of crap teams including Carlton after them.

Not having a go at your list, as i think most of its pretty accurate. But what do mean by Hawthorn 'being so lucky'? If anything, this year we were incredibly unlucky. Also, id swap geelong and brisbane.

I think luck played a role in your season this year. You're right, a lot went wrong for you, but you still managed to finish 2nd before finals and won the big one. Perhap luck was the wrong word to use. You're a bloody good team. But I think other teams may go past you now that you have gone back to back. Though perhaps this is just the start of your dynasty.

Yes ok..

You were lucky to finish top 2 this year.

Of course we were lucky! We are lucky we have such depth that when half our side is injured we still put together winning streaks, we are lucky that against all odds we still managed come through in the top 4, but more lucky that we finished top 2. Moving on during the finals series we were just lucky to give Geelong a touch up and even luckier to fall over the line against Port and then on GF day, well that was the luckiest day off all, complete luck that we demolished a clearly superior team by 10 goals. Luck was with us all through 2013 and 2014. #moron

Your lucky Fremantle blew a handful of games they should have won, and then lost to Geelong after copping the worst umpiring displays against them this season. Otherwise, you'd have played them in a QF in Perth. You had half a side for a lot of the season and won a few close games, and fell over the line in the PF against a team outside the top four. It's called luck, and you rode it the whole season. You wont be so lucky next year, that's why I have you 5th.

Luck doesn't happen consistently, we've gone back to back, there's no luck there at all. Meanwhile on the other side of the planet in a dusty old desert the Eagles will still be rubbish.

The whole 'luck' thing is really a piss-poor attempt at an Hawk-envying troll. You can do that about just about any side, any year. Eagles are lucky to have 3 flags. They were lucky we had finally run out of puff in 1992 after one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the sport, equalisation measures finally caught up with us, and the Eagles were the first to take advantage. They were also extremely lucky to get over the line against the Swans by one single point in '06. Without luck, the Eagles would be stuck on one flag.

See, we can do this too.....

To suggest that the Hawks were 'lucky' for winning the flag this year is an absolute toss. Absolutely destroyed Sydney with their pressure, they broke them early in the game and they were never able to recover. All year the Hawks were faced with challenges, they lost key personnel, their coach and everyone was writing them off yet they continued to find a way to win week after week. All clubs should admire the way Hawthorn go about it, they are a champion team. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they go for the three-peat, they are the most successful club of the last 50 years by a country mile.
