Definitely bump-worthy, especially the first few pages before the season started.

I tipped that WC and Adelaide would be the biggest improvers and make finals, and that both GC and GWS would not make the 8.

I got the Dogs and Port pretty wrong though, but then I wasn't alone.

The betting is really interesting for the top 8 - with the betting agency having:

4 locks - Hawks, Swans, Port and Freo - all $1.10 or shorter
3 very good chances - Roos, Ess and Crows - $1.30 - $1.60

And then 6 teams fighting for 8th place with WCE leading the pack!!

Pies $2.30
Tigers - $2.80
Cats - $3.00
GWS - $3.12
Dogs - $4.00

All 6 IMO can play finals with a good run. Can the Dogs and GWS keep up their good early form?? Can the Cats and Tigers lift and make a run at finals?? Can WCE and Pies continue to surprise - both written off pre-season.

Also can any of Roos, Ess and Crows slip enough to open up a 2nd spot for the chasing 6?

This is look like a great year that final spots will go down to the wire.

I think Geelong will make way for Port. The other 3 should remain in the top 4, with Fremantle the other one that might drop out, possibly for North. But I'd have mine like this:

Really don't know what to expect from the dogs. I thought they were going well and ready to take the next step based on their year. Thought they may push for a spot in the 8 this year until the off-season.

Didn't get Bulldogs or West Coast. Wrong about Essendon and Port making finals. Other than that, not too bad. 3/4 top 4 teams correct. North, Richmond and Adelaide correctly predicted as bottom half of top 8.

I stopped looking when I hit posts after the season started so you were the closest
Knew it would be an Adelaide supporter when I was looking lol

Way off the mark, only Sydney made the top four. Six teams I predicted made the eight. Did predict the wooden spoon though and I'm pleased about that.

Shows for me port were the big disappointment, and west coast and the dogs have shot right up, and of course Essendon performed well below where they should be.

Your view now? Higgins is in the AA squad and Waite has been massive in 2 finals. We have not missed Greenwood at all.
