He probably will, but Swans are notorious for dropping rookies and letting them develop. Heeney may be different, but Swans rookies have rarely been good value in the past.

I think Heeney is a bit different. Most of the Sydney rookies that have really had to earn their spots have been guys taken late in the draft or even rookie listed (B. Jack, Biggs, X. Richards, Lloyd, Cunningham). Heeney would have gone top 5 in the draft. Different kettle of fish altogether

I'm not saying the guy is a stud, but I would love to see him play for a team who has some idea of how to use his skillset correctly. I don't think his coaches have done him any favours. More of an old-fashioned CHF. Think Brad Miller. Or in today's game, Adam Tomlinson. Never going to kick big bags, but I could see him filling a role in the right situation

Hard to gauge anything out of those scores from GWS vs Sydney, very even spread. Still reckon Griffen is a decent selection at $530k, 94 off of 20 disposals from 79% TOG, 8 tackles. JPK 96 off of 21 disposals and 72% TOG.
