is danger a restricted free agent? if so, there is a chance adelaide could quite easily match the offer. (assuming that hawks are interested and the interest is reciprocated then danger would be on a lesser contract than what he could have achieved elsewhere).

Its Richmond. Bad management is their philosophy. Nearly lost Conca to salary cap pressure.

Nearly lost Conca to cap pressure ? Rubbish. We have been freeing cap space for a good 4 years now. We rolled the dice, even with Martin and Conca which was in the same period. Play for us on $$ we say or leave. We needed to do it to repair the damage in the Miller/Wallace years. The days of bad management are long gone now. We would have have made our 10th straight year in the black if that was not the case.

What sort of offer would he field though? No one is offering Sucking massive dollars any time soon. No one is offering him mid range dollars any time soon. He is a foot soldier. How/why does anyone make an offer the Hawks cannot deal with?

I was referring more to posters who were saying we should trade him to move up in the first rd.

I guess he would be similar to Clinton Young's situation as a FA.

Many more clubs will offer more money to Danger than we will (not could, but will). What we offer is a great environment and success. Given we've won the last 2 flags and possibly the next one too there isn't a club out there at the moment who can match that offering.

Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane no guarantee to stay at Adelaide says Carlton CEO Steven Trigg

Dangerfield becomes a restricted free agent at the end of 2015 and is already being heavily courted by Geelong. Richmond has also made it clear it has money to splash on a big-name free agent.

Taylor Walker last month committed to a new deal, but Sloane — while not yet eligible for free agency — also falls out of contract at the end of next season.

Trigg, now the CEO at Carlton, said on Thursday the Crows had every right to be fearful over Dangerfield and Sloane’s next moves.

“If I was at Adelaide I would be confident, but more than a little concerned,” Trigg said.

“Confident because Patrick is very loyal and he enjoys Adelaide. Adelaide is very good for him and he’s good for Adelaide.

Would love to have Rory Sloane at the Hawks.

Out of interest which player has captained their club for the most games without winning a flag ?

could there be a record in the making ??
St Nick?

Tigers had a puff piece not longer ago in the press that they'd be offering Cotchin a long term deal and locking him away. That was interesting in itself.
Why wouldn't they just go to him and make the offer silently? Seems like they know he's going to look at what's on offer elsewhere, but they're putting some PR out there to let the members know they're going to get on the front foot.

He's still got to accept any offer they make though, which could be of greater concern for them.

If he's smart he'll put talks on hold and see how they're tracking at Round 15, or wait until the end of the year. If the same old Richmond program of disappointment and failure is on show again at that point, then I think he'd be well entitled to jump ship.
Lol u underestimated him,,,,,,,by a lot
