Deserved more IMO.

Mathieson was about to make his round 1 debut for the Lions and now he's out for 6 weeks with a broken ****ing cheek. Cameron is a sniping campaigner.

5 weeks down to 4 is probably about right in comparison with other incidents, but I'd have preferred 6 down to 5. Mathieson and Cameron would return around the same time then.

7 was grossly inappropriate. Hall should have been gone for 12+ for that Staker hit.

It seems the tribunal' s penalties are best described as logarithmic rather than linear and flattens dramatically at 4 weeks

4 weeks OK at the lower end of justice considering Mathieson is out for 6 and Cameron has a bit of a history of being a sniper. Should also get an additional 4 weeks for not being a manly man like Tom Lynch. That should put him out until Rd 9. That we play them in Rd 8 had no bearing on my thoughts

The most AFL friendly place would prob be Mackenzie's Bar @ Southport Sharks. They have a big screen with AFL all the games. Only 10mins from Metricon. Can get a bit busy but saves heading into Surfers or Broady if you wanna avoid the riff raff?

In other team news, I'm set for a bumper Round 2. Off to see Richmond v Collingwood and Hawthorn v West Coast.

I look forward to the days when the Suns are playing in these type of HUGE games.

After putting Gold Coast in at 13th for most of the offseason, I finally sat down this morning and compiled a full ladder prediction for season 2016. After looking at the ladder and all the teams around us, 13th seems a tad too high. 14th seems to be the more likely outcome.
