Thats surprising you would think that many of those working and and unable to watch the game live would tune into the replay. It will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs effect lifts the numbers to past 200,000.

OK, I accept that GWS will make less per member due to the Sydney/Canberra divide, but...wow.
Assuming that they broke even on merchandising, their financial statements (taking into account their membership expenses) indicate they would have been would have been nearly $1m better off by not having members at all!
Many clubs distribute a substantial number of free memberships in one form or another but the Giants are obviously doing this to the hilt.

Giants gate reciepts are actually pretty good - almost 2 million - making them the only club to have higher gate than membership. I think people are skipping the membership option knowing they can just turn up and get a ticket.
