Get your facts right, that DH you refer to was just questioning a couple of players in yellow about their commitment to the contest when this blonde women walked behind him and told him to stop yelling out at the footy. That's it and then her DH son went and lent over the fence from the playing field having a go at him and at one stage it looked like mummies boy might hit him. Can't wait for the return bout.

Ridiculous if true

There seems to be a missing sentence between sentence 1 and sentence 2.

Who is the woman to tell anyone to stop supporting or having a go at an opposition player? If she was upset he was having a go at her son, maybe he should put on a skirt & go play netball!

Banter has been happening at grounds for decades, if she can't handle her son being yelled at, here's a tip, don't watch him!

Always pays to pick your mark. A few years back on a dreary afternoon a few of us who had been part of a stirring curtain raising victory at BSO, returned to watch the seniors and engage in our standard award winning humorous banter with an opposition gun player.

After about20 minutes a tall woman walked up and asked us what he had ever done to us, and could we leave him alone?

A couple of years later, I was coaching him and he recalled vividly the day, and his acute embarrassment that his Mum tried to go into bat for him!

Skevs1918. If you think you can publicly impugn an individuals reputation and the use of a pseudonym will fully protect you, think again.

The person who you identified is one of the most respected people not only in the VAFA but the wider sporting community as well. You'd need to form a queue to cover all the people who would vouch for him.

As for you acting as a cheer leader for him getting "....his head kicked in", you only showed yourself up as a thug. Some might say douche.

My guess is that although you purport to be a 'Skevvie' you are at least are no longer one . I'm confident they'd disown you if you ever were.

Maybe posting at 1.30am wasn't a prudent choice.

Wasn't Brad Hodge was it ? Or even Mitch Johnson ?

Les says:
When "we" do it we call it banter.
When "they" do it we call them feral.

Never have said feral Les.. All clubs have their supporters who go way over the line, it's a part of society these days. Most clubs also have supporters who give as good as they get. At the end of the day it's all banter, players either get sucked in which eggs these people on more, or they don't react.

What happened in the SMS/Friars game? I checked the live scores and Friars were two goals up 20 mins into the last and lost by two goals  Richo!

They got on a roll and we simply couldn't stop them. Very sad given we were honouring Father Noel Kierce - a much respected Friar.

I'm trying to forget this one ASAP.

I managed to catch most of the Ormond Prahran game yesterday. ( I may may have popped into the Orrong just up the road for some liquid refreshments from time to time) It was a hard fought contest from start to finish. I'm very surprised that Prahran are 1&4. They are a better than their record suggests. Ormond never looked realistically challenged at any stage, they appear to be the real deal after 5 rounds. It wouldn't surprise me to see Prahran make the finals based on what I saw. They also appear to be a decent bunch of blokes.
