Lewis just signed another 1 year deal a few weeks back for next year. If they are moving new 1 year contracts for the likes of Lewis and S.Mitchell they are struggling to fit JOM, Tom and Vickrey into their cap and their veterans aren't taking payments in Pesos as their fans want us to believe

Well now there's word around about Lewis being traded as well...something is going on at Hawthorn

Sigh.

Whatever. Seriously. You got I said Skilton was on coke.

Best to leave it at that because being verballed is pretty boring and ultimately intellectually lazy.

At least the runners up have the right idea and don't give a toss about it. Pretty much as I do with this whole topic and puerile arguments of righteous indignation.
Well there is no medal for irony obviously

Buddy's had shoulder surgery, back by December for pre season training

We really did limp into the GF..
Yeh, knowing now this and Naismith, add Mills, McVeigh, Parker and Rohan quite a remarkable effort to be within 1 point with 8 minutes to go, after being shafted by the umps.

wonder if tom had any idea this was going to happen before signing on.

Hope your ready for the big time titch, because you may be carrying that midfield
just look at the richmond game to see how he goes carrying a midfield

First Mitchell now Lewis being shown the door. Hawk melts in full swing.
After the garbage we've copped from them for years on losing players for the Buddy deal, I am more than amused at the current proceedings:p:thumbsu:

Go to America. Go to Europe. Hell go to New Zealand.

They. Dont. Care. About. AFL.

Wouldn't know what it is.

It is a boutique winter sport played predominantly in the southern and western states of Australia.

To get traction in the most states with the highest populations the AFL has had to invest untold millions, relocate existing clubs and create monsters through concessions - and they still get sub par crowds to 3 of the 4 teams they sent there.

I love the sport but seriously who gives a flying **** if it is an "international laughing stock" with the 4 Yanks that are not expats that know about the game.

I am vastly more pragmatic than to wax lyrical about the hallowed names blah blah that have won the Brownlow.

All of this shit might have meant something when the sport was "amateur" in its own way but let's not delude ourselves. This is a business and it is money driven. You really think all those guys were lily white you named? Shit, a lot of old time enduro cyclist were high on coke to keep them going. Bet it was rife in the AFL as well back in the day. It was in league.

The funniest part about the Bombers doping is it obviously did not help them. Hell it probably hindered them so good on old Jobe, the SJW freak, for winning it with some bad shit in his system. Heck of a job.

I mean really. We can be sanctimonious or realise that pretty much every week all teams send out players with pain relief and other aids to allow them to play when otherwise they couldn't. It is only arbitrary guidelines that make something "prohibited". How pure do we need to be with it? Performance enhancement occurs anyway legally.

Anyway all meaningless to me.

Dude played ok and won a medal. Cool.

He and the other morons at that club who went along with the "program" got caned. Punishment has to end eventually.

Do we really need to skin the poor bastards and wear it like a cloke forever?
And why did he play ok? Because he was injected with a banned substance. The one year he was injected with it he had the best year of his career. Thay could have been a coincidence but it's highly unlikley. There was a reason they injected those substances. It was because it helped their performances. Cotchin and Swan didn't have the benefit of injecting themselves with illegal substances. It's a tainted win so he there is no way that he can keep it. The fact that his illegal actions where probably due to ignorance as opposed to intent is irrelevant.

Jordan Lewis knocks back the Suns and will likely head to the Demons. If the Hawks are offering up 30 year olds as part of JOM trade it's no wonder the trade is taking its time.
They are turning over their list at a rapid rate.

Turning over the list, sure.

But watch the Hawks this year and their match winners were always:
Mitchell
Lewis
Burgoyne
Hodge
Rioli

Of those, two will be done, Hodge looked 90% cooked and Burgoyne is in his last year you'd think. Rioli can go missing.

If the list turnover was good, there'd be a bunch of 24-26 year olds in that list. But all that's happening is they are moving on their aging quality. Titch and JOM might help, but there may be a big, big cliff for the Hawks next year.
