Yeah there's no real deterrent for cheats if that's the process. Removing a lower ranked team and leaving our cheat with a shot at $50K is not exactly a punishment.
I'll continue to inquire

The "Age" mite be interested in the outcome

why did the team that won one of the bye rounds lose his prize that week completely if the overall runs by a different set of rules?

Seems made up on the run to me
Probably already had discussions with him about writing a column for them next year. Don't want to derail all of their prep work

I think that line of inquiry is worth pursuing. A lot of people put a lot of effort into their single teams each year, and do so under the impression that there's a level playing field. Allowing an owner of multiple teams to take any prize completely undermines that.

The only way I can see it working for them is if they allow the non-removed team to continue playing but also make it ineligible for any prizes. Like the Brownlow.

Super Sleuth toxic on the job.

Very dodgy if they only get rid of the lower team, on the prizes tab it clearly states that;
"you may only register and enter ONE team"

Well I just checked over at Supercoach Talk where Raj is a poster. His 'other team' is his wife's and registered under her email address.

;)

What about his '"other" other team'?

Strangely the Hun didn't think so today and deleted ONE of his other teams

This will get massive over the next few days

I'm first overall in Real Dream Team and certainly wouldn't want to lose to someone like this.

Bulls*** his wife plays Supercoach. Herald sun should call her and I bet she wouldn't even be able to name any AFL footballers, campaigner.

She wouldn't even know 'she' had a team.

Search for the bloke on facebook there cant be any other people with that name (if its his real name) and see if he's married, if he's not then screenshot it and email it to the Hun to prove that he's talking shit.

Because your marital status on Facebook is proof enough to take away 50k from a guy.

Ps. I believe he should be disqualified. Amateur investigations won't help get that done. They're clearly aware of the problem, they'll deal with it. If they don't disqualify him, there's nothing we can do. Their laws state they are within their rights to disqualify anyone breaking the T&Cs - not that they have to.

A bloke on twitter who seems to have connections to it just tweeted that apparently only his lower ranked teams will be disqualified, but not his top ranked squad. Difficult stance to justify, very slippery slope. But you are right, their call to make.

Yeah seems a bit of a weak gesture. I would think thats the last stance they should take, admitting there is an issue but not actually doing anything substantial about it.
