Called in to watch the Stars train on Wednesday night and there were plenty out on the track I estimate around 45-50. Seen quiet a few ex AFL players in amongst it ( Raph Clarke, Andrew Lovett, Lionel Proctor, Aaron Clarke, Djarran Whyman, Chris Egan, Clinton Benjamin) with new coach Jason Misfud calling the shots. Also were told that a couple of boys from Port Adelaide Magpies Academy were training as well and were hopeful of a few more recruits joining the club soon (Matty Stokes a possibility). Could be the year the Stars break through.

That's a great sign especially when you consider they had about a dozen training this time last year. mifsud getting them in shape
They always are but will even better to watch next year if they roll these boys out on the field.

sounds like there will be plenty of talent running around in division 2 for 2016, the standard has really gone up that past couple years.

Doggies first week of training with 55 blokes in attendance on the Monday information night, plenty of new faces & probably another 15 who were unable to get there so numbers looking good.

Played with Geelong as well in the early 90's about 70 plus games for both teams and I'm guessing that's 70 more then you Colombian
Great for the club. But with the players mentioned, they take up around 40 of the 50 points allowed, under the new system. Will they all play together? Probable wont be able to because of points.
Who was he involved with last year??
Any major losses from last year mate? Heard just about all from last year are going around again.

Never said anything about him being a "nobody", I know a bloke named Shane Hamilton who was reserves Coach at jacana this season who is now down at thomastown as he's good mates with the president, just wondering if we're talking about the same person because the Shane Hamilton I know didn't play AFL

Morning all. I'm not from around here but moving down for work. Just wondering what the footy is like around this league. Seems the Div 1 is strong. I'm from the Goulburn Valley League in Shepparton. I'm assuming it would be of a similar standard? Any info would be great. Thanks all.
