3 snags for the season doesn’t really scream ‘knows exactly where the big sticks are’
Panton Hill with some early recruits. The bloke from Beechworth looks like he will be very handy.

They always tease every offseason they are going to be half decent Panton Hill and sign these big players, but then always end up being a disappointment.
Hard to argue that. 3 8th finish’s in a row.
Im 43, fat and washed up.. still reckon I’d finish top 3 for Beechworth bnf

Not sure the deeper stats, but wonder if it is that ground they play on.
Last few years I would have them on fringe of finals 7th at worst and just somehow never even get close.

Probably because most of the blokes they recruit go there for a semi retirement package or lazy culture.
Spoke to a former Prez who said they pay overs via getting sponsors to foot the bill.

I reckon Patt Flynn looked near career best shape compared to previous seasons. Not the look of a bloke who was “lazy”

It was a jab at his reference to their club being lazy, and yet they beat his own club which is a former div 1 club and supposed to not be ‘lazy’
