Yes, it is tradition to eat hot cross buns at Easter but traditions evolve. So pass me the butter.

But then the unthinkable happened. On Monday December 28 — an entire 88 days before Good Friday — the first Australian sighting of hot cross buns was reported.

It is very early, isn’t it? Despite the fact this article was already in the pipeline, even I am surprised the tasty Easter tradition has hit supermarket shelves as early as December. Still, while many cry foul, I’ll be over here, chowing down on a freshly baked, lightly toasted, butter-laden spiced bun. (Like I didn’t collect enough extra kilograms over Christmas... but that’s another story).

Walkerville Woolworths
I find they suck you in with fresh ones to start with and they get progressively worse as it gets closer to Easter.
Although last year I did some work in Warrnambool and on the way to work I'd call in at woollies and get they straight out of the oven.
