Yes, it is tradition to eat hot cross buns at Easter but traditions evolve. So pass me the butter.
But then the unthinkable happened. On Monday December 28 — an entire 88 days before Good Friday — the first Australian sighting of hot cross buns was reported.
It is very early, isn’t it? Despite the fact this article was already in the pipeline, even I am surprised the tasty Easter tradition has hit supermarket shelves as early as December. Still, while many cry foul, I’ll be over here, chowing down on a freshly baked, lightly toasted, butter-laden spiced bun.
