ZaharakisSo is it confirmed that it was Reimers that said no? I thought I heard of some other player who simply knocked back the injections because he didn't like needles.

Even then I really do not buy that someone of the status of Watson (or Hooker) being forced to do anything. They signed up to it, and their actions in not disclosing it to the enquiry condemns them if they did it with any kind of non intention attached.Reimers saying no is going to hurt them badly IMHO. If everyone had done it, it could have been spun as being "forced" etc.
I don't think they can get any money from Essendon either. At least not for their contract for this year. Though i guess Essendon can give them an ex-grata payment for their contract amount.
Zaharakis I think it was
Zaharakis won't use needles therefore wasn't part of the program.Zaharakis

Many supporters are delusional
So are we sometimes
Winderlich and Dempsey were recovering from ACLs and not involved. Reimers refused. Zaharakis disliked needles. most of the rest were fringe/first year players.Zaharakis won't use needles therefore wasn't part of the program.
Reimers, Winderlich and Dempsey along with a host of first year players at the time, some of which are still at Essendon, are not on the list of 34.
Just FYI I moved the Essendon talk into here because there were two conversations going.
So did everyone read Jobe's statement today. What a load of nothing. http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2016-01-13/jobe-watson-statement

Absolutely. The mauling he got from the Bombers leadership when this first broke was reprehensible. Reimers always came across as a dick, but he is one of the few who can hold their head high. Zaha is just very lucky that he doesn't like needles or we'd probably be talking about 35 players.Reimers thought it was dodgy from the beginning and was promptly delisted + had people having a crack at him the press after he piped up later. He has come out of this looking pretty good.

He was having suppositories made up for him. They weren't ready when it all came raining down.Maybe that was Zaha's excuse so he wouldn't get treated in the same way Reimers did.
Almost added the bit about injuries at the time. I think first year players weren't involved hence why Baguley, J.Merrett etc aren't banned.Winderlich and Dempsey were recovering from ACLs and not involved. Reimers refused. Some of the first year players were injected. Dell Olio was but Baguley wasn't. Seems that there might have been other factors influencing that decision.Almost added the bit about injuries at the time. I think first year players weren't involved hence why Baguley, J.Merrett etc aren't banned.
Thing is if Kyle Reimers said no (and he didn't even seem like the sharpest tool in the shed) why couldn't a few others?

Maybe after about 30 or so doses of taking what one player described as "concrete in the arse" you might want to ask some questions or google what you were taking.
After Reimers went public there was the rebuttal by senior player Mark McVeigh which was replayed again last night on Footy Classified. McVeigh stated the players were aware of what they were taking and signed consent forms acknowledging it.
Perhaps this whole saga will make players at all clubs be a bit a more questioning of decisions made by the hierarchy that affect them negatively, as well as the notion of not ever breaking rank when they think something is wrong - and that will be a good thing.
Just watch the players sue the club, the AFL fund it, we all pay for it - the outed players all become millionaires
What!? That is unbelievable. He was having suppositories made up for him. They weren't ready when it all came raining down.
